Aprilaire 1830 v Santa Fe Compact70

I'm shopping for a more appropriate dehumidifier, as my box store struggles to keep up many days. Ran across this video talking about how Aprilaire is superior. This is clearly a big expense, so I want to make sure I make the best decision. Anyone here using the Aprilaire?

Looking at the spec sheets, The Aprilaire moves 160cfm at 51dB, the Santa Fe moves 150 at 55dB. Aprilaire 2.0 L/kWh, 660W max. Santa Fe 2.4 L/kWh, 580W max. Pretty comparable. The Aprilaire offers digital controls, the Santa Fe, mechanical controls. Aprilaire comes with the duct collars included, Santa Fe costs an additional $100, plus it's more expensive even before the collars. Lastly, Santa Fe comes with a 2 year full warranty, and a 4 year parts warranty. the Aprilaire offers a full 5 year warranty on everything.

Thoughts?

I'm a therma-stor fan myself I use a Phoenix 200 max (lung room) and a Santa Fe (grow room) and i am very happy with them with around 10 years use on them.
The Aprilaire units do not say that they are LGR type that is the more energy efficient like the Therma-stor units.
As for the digital control I would be worried about long term reliability unlike the Santa Fe that so far has been reliable to the point that I do not even think about it. https://www.thermastor.com/

I think I read that they were Energy Star rated. But you make a good point about the digital controls. I've had enough digital stuff crap out on me over the years. That might be the decision swayer right there.

You should pick whatever unit has the best warranty.

Quest are fairly decent too

Always over size your dehum a little bit.
