Watch out folks....

Mobile device users should take this as a warning that Google and Apple can provide access to data stored on an encrypted device at least in some circumstances, says Christopher Soghoian, principal technologist with the ACLU's Speech, Privacy and Technology Project.

"That is something that I don't think most people realize," Soghoian says. "Even if you turn on disk encryption with a password, these firms can and will provide the government with a way to get your data."

anything is hackable. we don't really know if apple has a backdoor or not. whatever the reason, its not getting done as fast as the authorities want it. open source whenever possible is i think the most secure. here are some nice tips for androids:

Um, isn't the rule no phones? Something about using electronic communication while in commission of a continuous felony enterprise? Stay off the damn phones except for setting up face to face meetings. Text messages? Hell no.
