The US Court of Appeals ruled that police placing tracking devices on vehicles does not violate anyone's constitutional rights. The Oregon case in question involved police placing a number of tracking devices on a car of a man who had purchased large amounts of fertilizer, groceries, irrigation equipment and deer repellent at several stores in the Medford area in 2007.
