Apollo 11 report

I was growing this for about 7 years and dropped it about 2 years ago due to low yield and just getting tired of it and its not a favorite in my friend circle.
I am finishing my 2 year cured stash now.
It is now a nice golden color with lemon/fruit scents and very smooth smoke though over time you notice it is not a "soft"smoke on the lungs like some other strains, I found this the case with C-99 as well.
The buzz has mellowed a bit,it gives quite a lot a cerebral activity without the heart racing that C-99 is infamous for.
It will really make your mind race/slightly confusing and give a bit of a trippy feeling if you take 1 or 2 bong hits with a slightly mellow NL influence felt in the body. The more you smoke the more the body buzz builds up....can get heavy if you smoke enough.
Not much medicinal value for me and not recommended for night.

7 years experience is to be taken seriously, this guy probably knows the A11 quite well.
Report seemed to fit well with useful & practical info. 2year cured stash, How does one hold onto something for so long.
A lot of cerebral activity actually helps with personal medical condition. Night time is the right time for me and too many will put you down eventually. A bit of a trippy feeling-that`s a big positive too. Many people are saying Low yield but never tried it indoors so found much the same as c99 or many others maybe a little fluffy and maybe the weight isn`t as heavy as others. The high However is special and certainly a keeper IMO.

I've never had Apollo, but I absolutely loathe Cindy, the harsh smoke, the super sharp edge.
How does Apollo differ? I kept hearing the 'genius' pheno was the smoothest, but I've never seen any for sale.

I've been growing Apollo 11 G4 since 2003. Gypsy had a sale...10 seeds for $20...best seed purchace I've ever made. Unfortunately, they were all gone about a week after I got mine and I haven't seen for sale since, except as outcrosses. I made a shitload of seeds (G5?) using my branchiest plants . It's a nice smooth soft smoke if grwn organically. Not racey or speedy like C99 and is the single most popular strain I have. And I have a number of great strains. I don't smoke it at night either..wind up staying up too late. The lemon aroma is a bit "over the top" and a few people have thought it might be sprayed with Pledge. The only thing I don't like about growing it is the multitude of stems that aren't stout enough to support the weight of the bud. If I don't use several stakes per pot, all the branches will hang down with the tip pointing up. The few times I've not used stakes and just let them grow that way, the buds along the length of the branch get a lot bigger and yield is increased. I don't have room to let them do that, though, and generally use 4 stakes per pot..sometimes 5.

damn weedbaser, i could never let a jar sit unsmoked for 2 years. That apollo was so tangy sweet but pulling weight was impossible.

Nice mane... My Apollo got me very centered, but cerebral, motivated as well, very unique! Not as trippy as fx durban, speed queen, jack, couple of so-called hazes... Low tolerance though.... But weed works differently for different people... Nice with the curing! Love golden nugs..........

Nice report, gotta be the Genius. I have a pack of Blue Apollo and Apollo 11 f2s and hope I get to run them someday.

Apollo is good stuff, seems to be a physical opposite of c99 tho, i noticed much thicker stems, making the bud terribly hard to pick apart when grown outdoors, rock hard nugs, and a much more earthy flavor, slightly fruity like mellow yellow :D
i got a nice golden pheno too, the leaves got goldish so it really was my mellow yellow.
