Apollo 11 - Original Recipe

This will bring back some memories for some growers.

These are original recipe Apollo 11, from seed.

The mother: the Genius clone... the father: C99. (GeniusxC99).

I have a hundred or more of these seeds to play with. I'll be growing my way through them over the next year or two, looking for the ultimate expression of the Apollo 11 strain. The best plant will be kept to share with lucky friends, who can share it freely when they get it.

For this grow I only had three females, but the expected traits showed up straight away. Tropical fruit-scented, bright green, delicate buds.

This first pheno leans toward the Genius in the flavor and bud shape.

This is the more typical Apollo 11, with a perfect symmetry between the Genius mother and the C99 father. Lovely stuff, can't wait to smoke some! This will be the first time I've smoked A11 in many years. :)

A11 must be one of those true breeds, I've seen a few by different breeders and they all look very simil ar. My JW A11 were just as you described. I classify my A11 along side my MNS SSH.

looking at your killer pics of the A11 (and drooling all over it:D), I can tell I have one pheno of Genius..
its my first try with the Apollo and I have very high hopes for it!
I have a few beans of the original Apollo13 as well, and I thought in the near future to do a preservation project..

Yeah, brother, I've been waiting for this one! :D

I'm SO happy to have Apollo back in my jars! It's my daytime smoke and I couldn't be happier!
Been busy testing my 4 Apollo and 5 Apollo Trip plants after a month cure. My head is spinning and I love them all!

Love the trichs stuck to the stake on that last shot! Must be right around 50 days? Enjoy!

I was given some Appollo 11 x Erdpurt 05 by a friend. The first plant was small indoors and a very good high. I used it on pain with nice results.

CRAZY...

You should pop more of those beans, A11 is my favorite (if you do not add the almost pure hazes that i have smoked in ADAM.)

I have yet to smoke anything grown over here in north america that put a smile on my face of me and my friends like A11.... Gave them clones but would not tell them the name... (got to keep them wanting!) lol

Not trying to brag but i grew out about 50 seeds and found myself a plant that is COVERED in frost right out to the tips of the leaves (and even a fair amount on the sun leaves). As a bonus the plant although it does not seem to be the biggest yielder, loses far less weight when drying then some other plants.... OH and it is FINISHED in 7 weeks or less!!

I have died and gone to heaven.

I don't know why it is not used more in breading programs to bring down the times of long flowering sativas, or for adding quality to bigger yielding strains.

You my friend are in for a treat.

best wishes

p.s. Here some karma for you (not that you need any more) LOL

nice flowring pics! Apollo is definetly one of my favorite strains.. i've had the same clone for over a year now.. was one of my orginal strains that I grew.. I love the fact that it flowers quickly and produces high quality bud! planning on setting about 50 clones out this year..

nice job cc that is one strain i wished i would have bought back in the day but i was a newbie at strains. i can see it years from now where their are other plants being grown and some one will pop out some old seeds like Apollo,c99 and other rare genetics that only us old farts remember .and go crazy for and the new growers will be saying what the hell is Apollo11. but only if they new. good job and keep it up and preserve for the future.

This is so fantastic!!

i had some apollo11 x erdpurt seeds too and i was really hoping to find an a11 pheno in the bunch but none germinated so maybe i'll have better luck next time

Hey, i found a couple pic's of my a11 (sorry my photo and cropping is not up to snuff)

These pictures are from about 3-4. I must have lost my other pictures damn, but hope you like them.

The last one (the closeup) reminds me of the Michaelangelo god reaching out to man painting (if only a11 was god, i would convert... LOL)
