Yeah any spare stuff boxes whatever. If its covered with fabric tarps and poly it will look like maybe antique cabinet or wardrobe Depending on the size.

Alright guys ya'll convinced me to go with the tent. I already put white poly (panda film) up on the walls and hung the lights so I was trying to tell myself I didn't need a tent lol but honestly I only put an hour of work into the room and didn't spend any money on anything that I am not going to be using.
I am not worried about inspections at all really. I dunno where the poster that said I will have up to four inspections lives but that is not at all the case. I am pretty sure I mentioned that I have lived here for over a year already so I know how all that inspection shit works. I have ONE annually where the literally come in and check the one smoke detector which is right by my front door. They have never requested to go into my master bedroom or spare bedroom. There is 100% no reason for them ever to go into my spare bedroom where the grow will be AND I just had my one and only annual inspection last week so I am good for another year...
I changed my locks awhile ago which is strictly against the rules at my building but I don't give a shit. they noticed awhile ago and forgot about it.
I have already tested out plugging in all the lamps and turning them on and left them on for an hour with no issues but I still need to plug in fans and everything else but I am pretty sure it will not be a problem.
I NEVER use my oven anyway and thought of unplugging it to use that outlet and running cords but the oven is VERY far away from the room you would see big ass extension cords streching all across the hall as soon as you walk in and going into a room with the door closed but thats not even my main concern...
My boy was running a grow with four lights in his basement. i can't remember his specific reasoning but he had to stop using the outlets in the basement and ran heavy duty extension cords up the stairs into his laundry room to use the dryer outlet. His hydro bill went up a SHITLOAD...Like $500 a month and he changed nothing in the grow, just where he was drawing the power from and he found out that the farther the power has to travel from the source to get where its going then much more power has to be drawn if that makes sense...
I know dick about electrical but one of my closet friends is a fully licensed electrian and grower. He was actually somewhat my mentor for many years and has set up many large grows. He has not actually ofically checked it out but he has been over to my place many times before and when I spoke to him on the phone and told him I wanted to run he said he did not think it will be any issue. He is coming over tomorrow. I appreciate you guys trying to help with the electrical stuff but I am so clueless I am just going to wait for him to come by tomorrow.

Have a tent I used to start and veg my outdoor plants in set up with a 400w that I will use for vegging. I plan to get a nice t5 fixture soon though to save money on electric as I have used both T5s and HID's to veg and honestly the t5s t better veg growth IMO using wayy less electric.
I will start take pictures and start a log when things get more exciting!

If you dont know about working with juice, leave it for your buddy who is a sparky.
When hes there, get him to explain to you current loads. Ballasts draw x number of amps, yada ya. Its a must know in indoor growing.
I used to use a timer board, but it was in the same room as a grow. If its too far away, of course it will cost more, I only said it because its a 40 amp circuit available to you with no extra wiring.
Some places inspect more than others. Places ive been do in almosg never some all the time. If you have waited it out (which you have) and know its safe, by all meant setup.

During inspections come out wearing whitey tighties or something uncomfortable for another man to be around. Its worked for me a couple times, The guys just want to get out of there lol.
if they actually want to look in the bedroom you can break things down somewhat, put the plants in the closet ect like another poster said is stack boxes in the bedroom to cover up anything that is to big to break down and hide.
put a lock on the bedroom door and change the front door lock, you don't want them coming in when your not around.

This advice actually saved my ass! Well it was mostly another post I read I think "Snype" wrote it he was talking about a situation where the law or similar came into his grow house without permission so he simply acted like he was very comfterable with them being there and stripped naked and started walking around! Said they left QUICK lol.
Well, yesterday I had my own little run in! There was a pretty bad water leak on my floor down the hallway, none of the units effected just hallway but they were their fixing it all day and I guess they saw some things they didn't like because they wanted to look in all the apartments on the floor real quick for water damage. I am sure I could have told my landlord to fuck right off when he knocked on the door, in fact I am 100% but I knew he would just have to peak in quick and there would be zero reason for him to go into the grow room as no pipes of any kind run into there so I let him and looked happy doing it and said "sorry I'm just in the middle of something" dipped into the room unplugged the humming ballast and fan and then stripped pretty much naked and walked out of the room...he literally left RIGHT AWAY lol!
There is zero reason for him to have to come in here for another year as inspection is annual and already happened
Regarding the leaking water, I too know someone who was arrested for exactly that. Running a hydro grow in an apartment, whole rez knocked onto floor while he was at work. Comes home after a hard day gets off the elevator and sees cops taking his plants out...I fucking TOLD HIM not to run hydro. "bro I've been doing it for years and never had a spill, you have to be a fucking idiot to cause a flood"
I told him "shit happens" thats why they call em acciedents...I do know many people who have ran hydro in apartments but also know MORE that tell me you'd be an idiot to do it and I agree 100%. Soil is whatt I know anyway.

I grow in my closet every single winter in my apartment with 400w of LEDs with NO exhaust fan and my temps dont get above 85. I can't get my "big room" with my HPS warm enough in the winter months so I cant run that room from Nov-March... Those are my closet gardening months.

SO thanks to all the great advice and encouragement of my fellow IC members I have gone quite a bit bigger than originally planned

I went all out and got a 4X8 GORILLA grow tent. I changed my mind on running 1000's as I am going to put 3 600's in this baby and could only fit 2 1000s plus after talking with another grower, an electrician friend and lots of research 600's just make way more sense for me.
WISH ME LUCK FELLA'S! As mentioned this is my first indoor grow, it is in an apartment and it is not a legal medical grow. I am not doing this for profit, I am doing this because I need cannabis to function and I cannot afford to keep paying the insane high costs from the legal producers or the black market.
I am SO excited!

Good choice using 600 watt fixtures. 1000 watt fixtures are a waste of power in small grows. My oppinion anyway

id get a tent fosho!! they can get big and fit threw door ways! just make sure to get a good one like the gorilla tents! my way of keeping temps down is by building an led and the only real way of gettin rid of the smell is a carbon filter. sometimes they dont even work! and with venting out the window. itll look super obvious make a fake window out of plywood that way they aint looking at a 6 inch ductXD

lol man i guess you didnt read much of the thread...Went with a 4X8 gorilla tent and fucking love it. It has been a bitch getting everything up to the top floor without anyone seeing anything suspicous but I have managed to get all the big shit up. Right now I only got half the tent filled with 4 big 2 month old plants doing a scrog under 1000W light the other half will be filled up soon.
I got a grow log going not too exciting yet since flowering hasn't started (gonna be starting most likely 2 days) so come check it out cause its gonna get good soon!!

thats funny man. Yeah its not to hard to spot what tent you were using...Im pretty good about moving my gear stealth. If i had to say thats probably what im best at in growing. Theres a few tricks to moving in the big stuff. When i moved into my new digs in February i had to move four 4x4 tables. I spliced together to wardrobe boxes and made it happen. The box looks like a wide ass box to protect a projection tv box... Ive brought in can 50s in hockey bags and recently a large home depot box also with jug of koolaid in it...
My secret is boxes, dollies and alot of extra tape at the bottom so nothing obvious comes out. Tho i own a construction company that also does moving so i have had alot of time to figure out moving gear, and do it like a pro because i am one... Another trick of mine is only moving gear on move day, one time no problem. Carry everything else small in i little boxes, bags or whatever. Big stuff all at once. This time i just ordered everything to the store. it sat there plugging up the vack until i picked it up 2 weeks after it came in. They were fine about it, you dont really piss off the guy whos coming to hand you 4 grand for a one bedroomsize setup

Around here I'm guessing 50%+ of grows are small apartment tent setups, I've done this my whole "career" now and I've seen a lot of the stuff mentioned in this thread.
Carrying stinky plants mid-flowering covered in trashbags through the staircase in the middle of the night. Panic trimming near completed plants and dismantling the setup sweating like mad because of various surprise visits. Hiding plants in the balcony hoping to god the maintenance dudes don't go there. Coming in and smelling my 3rd floor grow because of a broken fan and riding my bike 20km in pouring rain to get a replacement... Walking with a friend to his place high seeing the cops carrying out his beautiful plants and just sitting there smoking cigarettes and watching..
.... can't say it has been boring lol
