apartment growing, security?

so lately ive been thinking about moving it up a notch from a studio appt to a full on 2 bedroom 2 bath which is 300 more a month than im payin now.

i was curious if they would get suspicious some how if i were to run a c24 cab with a 600hps digital ballast, dayton blower with carbon scrubber going FILTER>LIGHT>FAN>outside cab into room. would energy be a factor with only 600 watts? oh and a room with around 200-300 watts of flourescents for moms and vegging clones.

any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I would't worry about it i ran 2kw in a apt and the bill was 180 a month not that bad.

600 watts isn't very much. my amp for my bass uses more power than that.

the air will first be sucked into the filter from inside the cab, pulled through the light hood, and then out of the box, making the blower the last step.

I run 2,000W in an apartment, I use an entire room, I suck air in through the window with a window vent, and run a huge exhaust fan rapped in insulation.

You will have no problems with a cab & 600w.

Make sure your land lord always has your current cell phone number.

Make sure your grow is able to be torn down in less than 30 minutes if your land lord calls and says he needs to do an inspection.

Never play loud music or draw attention to yourself.

yeah ive been in this studio appartment for 5 months, been 18yrs old for 6 months. 500 a month and nothing but cramming it full of people playing loud music. lots of cop visits. that why i figure for 800 a month 2 bed, 2 bath 800sq ft,, nice area full of retired people, would be the perfect place to settle down.

so how many cfm is your blower and how did you go about wrapping it for soundproofing?

It does'nt sound like you should be growing yet? You have alot to learn and lose. There are alot of Amateurs in prison. Growing pot which is illegal most places should be taken with upmost security. it usually safe to have 1K per bedroom so if you have a 2 bedroom u should be good for 2 1000 watt HIDs.

yes i do understand what i have to lose. ive been incredibly interested in this hobby for quite some time. probably one of the most affordable/interesting/fun hobbies i have come across and ive tried damn near all of them. and i know what your thinking, 18 yr old amatuer gonna show all his friends, tell everyone about it, and have parties at the actual grow house. i know better. only one of my friends will know about it because he is soon to be a room mate but other than him. no one will know.i know this because he has been a childhood friend and fellow stoner for close to 14 years. no one can come over, especially girls. when i want to party ill go other places.

For the record, in America, you can safely run much more than 1000W per bedroom.

You can run up to 80% of your homes total power abilities as long as you have proper wiring.

The police need a warrant to get your electric bill, and even if they do, an electric bill alone is not enough for a warrant.

The number one way people get busted is what is called a "buy bust".

One of your friends will get busted with herb, and the police will convince them to do a "buy bust" on you.

They will call you up, and ask you to get them some herb while the police record the call.

When you agree, the police will follow the informant to meet you, and search him before sending him in to see you.

When he comes out they will search him again to see what you gave him, and document everything.

With that, they will have a case against you, and they will also easily get a search warrant.

Very simple, very inexpensive, they need no warrant, and snitches are lining up around the cell block for this deal to get their charges thrown out in every county prison in the country.

i might run 2, 600's for a monthly harvest. but thats about it. anything more and i would feel i was testing it.

should be interesting because in arizona, people charge 20 a gram for what most of you would concider mids.literally. they give names like sour diesel, tangerine kush, purple kush(not even purple) etc. etc. to sacks of decent mids to get there money.

now that people are gonna see some actual name strains around here with proper dry and curing, its gonna be what everyone wants, aww too bad i might be only selling 2-3 ounces of it a month to a few select friends.

I have an idea for a sealed room 1000 watt apartment grow I want to pass by you guys. A swamp cooler, dehumidifier and co2 tank with a regulator. If done right you would not need in and out vents right? Obviously a big carbon filter and a couple osculating fans too.

Another tip I have for apartment grows is get one of those cheap huge wheeled bags for air travel and put all your grow stuff in that when you bring stuff into the apartment.

trichome toker- i know what your sayin man, thats why i wont sell it, maybe a little here and there to some friends. but it wont be from ME. it will be from a guy i know, that has no idea were i live. when i move into the bigger appt, im not letting anyone know were i live besides the room mate who knows whats up.

That is smart.

Just consider this:

You give part of your crop to your friend to sell.

He sells it to some of his friends.

One of his friends gets busted.

They do a buy bust on your friend.

He calls you up, and does a buy bust on you.

Even though he doesn't know your grow location, you just sold Cannabis to an informant, and the police might even follow you back to your grow house before they bust you.

Even if you pay a runner to deliver your herb, the runner could get busted by your friend and they will convince him to do a controlled delivery of the cash back to you.

I would keep your eyes and ears open for any news of your friends getting busted at all times.

Stay safe, dealing is never fool proof, and the people you think are your friends will sell you out at the drop of a dime (no pun intended).
