When you said we'll do the count, I was expecting, 1,2,3,4,5, - 6,7,8,9,10, - 11,12, as we whirl around the pinball machine . Poor kids these days, they're missing out on that fun.
I wouldn't bother, there's a reason they disappeared shortly after. The 90's stuff that started hitting early on was better. The calio O replaced the orange bud because it actually had an orange taste. The "heavy" aka Afghani had more of a hard hit to it. This replaced the northern lights around here, probably a cross of nl but hey. The Durban stuck around for a while, but then faded away. Then as I said, I started growing and lost interest in what others had, I only cared what my crew wanted. And they were happy with orange bud, then blueberry was the thing. I got a shock when decades later I tried other people's weed. It was shit comparatively . Nothing hit hard enough to be worth smoking. Even today, no one sells decent gear, that stays in their inner circles, everything commercial is shite for kids.
Some folks talk about getting great weed when they were young, but mostly Americans who were around in the 60's 70's, that's not me though.
Early 90's was the golden age for street weed in this area, prob diff in diff areas. Hash was more popular than anything green. More variety, far cheaper, and commonly stronger. Then as the hash went down hill, late 90's, the green came back. By then I didn't care what the street was doing.
I think the leap to begin a medicinal scene here has a lot to do with what I'm seeing here in the UK. The street weed is all bark and no bite. Terps are everything on the street as it's aimed at kids, rather than older smokers. The older folks who are looking for something stronger, something a little old school, can now go to the state and drop their pants for the man. By giving up your anonymity, and paying the doctors for private prescriptions, and paying the legal outlets, and having every gram you smoke on the record, you can now, I am informed, get some fairly decent smoke. So for bite, you go to the state, for bark you can go to the street. It separates the market.

I'm sitting here dry, looking at another 9 week wait . Only thing available (since I don't want to register with the state) being crazy prices, not completely dry, and I suspect sprayed with tobacco flavouring sprays to give it more "bag appeal".
Still I can't afford for prices to drop so low .
