Anyone use the Sentinel CHHC-1 or any c02/climate controller?

Im on the verge of gettin a controller for all my c02 needs as well as climate control. And I have researched pretty much everything on the market but cant find much that suits my needs in my budget. I want to monitor the c02 as well as the day and night temps and humidity. I want seperate outlets for c02, night heating, cooling, and day/night humidity plus I want a remote sensor with at least 15 feet of cable so I can mount it outside the garden.

The solatel seems nice but doesnt have sperate humidity and coolin outlets so its a no go for me, not to mention I dont need a light timer or controls for hydro equipment. I like the harv masters but they are way too much money for me and green air and C.A.P dont use remote sensors with long cables. So what else other then the Sentinel can do everything I need it to do and cost less then a grand. The sentinel retails for 650 and sells for under 500 bux online or I could get it from my local shop for like 575. The only drawback with it to me is that the sensors for temp/humidity and c02 are all one sensor. I like how solatel has them all separate but again it doesnt really suit my needs. I know alot of you guys gotta be using climate controllers yet I never see much mentioned about them on here. Outside temps are startin to go up fast with the onset of spring and I need to get this addressed ASAP. Post up even if you arent using the sentinel and gimme your feedback on what your runnin. Thanks guys.

they come with a 1 year warranty so if anything happens you can just have it replaced.

I've been using the chhc-1 for about a month now. I started a similar thread when I purchased mine. It is pretty cool. I just started using co2 so I decided to do it the right way. My chhc-1 has worked perfectly since the time I purchased it. My sentinel generator is another story but sentinels customer service has been great. I'm on my third generator. The guys at the hydro store told me I'm the only customer to experience problems with the generators. I've had the third one for a couple of weeks now and it has been working fine.

I offered some advice to sentinel for the chhc-1. I told them it would be nice if the sensor could easily disconect from the outside of the controler(it disconects but you have to open the controler unit to unplug it). Also the sensor has a tiny orange light that flashes on the inside of it during the night cycle. I haven't had any hermi problems from it yet but it would be cool if they could change that light bulb to a green one instead of orange.

The unit will give you full control over the environment in your garden. It has been well worth the $500 I spent on it.

I ordered mine locally and I actually got the last one that NGW had, hydrofarm was back ordered so I lucked out. I paid 580 however as I didnt wanna be shadey and order online just to save 100 bucks. Its pretty popular as they cant even meet the demand for them now so I'll keep my fingers crossed that I made the right choice. As for the flashing orange light, just take a tiny piece of metal repair HVAC tape and cover the light, problem solved. Now I have my eye on sentinels light timer if I could just find some reviews of it.

I already thought about the tape thing.you will see what I mean about the orange light when you get your unit. The orange light is inside of the sensor unit. You can't just place tape over the openings of the unit cause that's how the air flows into the sensor so it can give you a reading. placing tape over the opening would restrict the air flow into it and might cause the readings to be incorrect or slow to respond to changes in the room. It's not like you wanna void your warranty by opening up the sensor unit case just to put a piece of tape over the bulb. same goes for disconecting the sensor from the control panel. The best thing that could be done about the orange light is sentinel putting a green bulb in the sensor instead of an orange bulb. I'm 4-5weeks in and no problems with hermies so far, but I'm not growing sour d or another super light sensitive strain.

You got a good price on your unit. I got mine at my hydro shop too for the same price on the sticker. I just bought my whole co2 system at once and the store I go to gives you %10 off when you spend over $1000. I think it is worth paying a slightly higher price to a store that offers great service. I'm on my third co2 generator. the first two went straight back to the store and I was given a new one that same day. Much better than wasting the last two months dealing with shipping and repairs. Now I will get to see the benefits of adding co2 immediately and that oughta cover the extra $ spent.

So can anyone vouch for the orange light not causing herms ? Im not really to concerned with night time temps and humidity if I have to not use it at night. Does it have a feature where you can have it shut itself off at night and then start back up when the lights go on ? A photosensor perhaps to keep the orange light off at night, mine wont be here for a few more days or Id see for myself.

It has a photosensor on it but that is to shut the co2 off and to allow you to set night/day humidity/heat. the sensor has green lights on the outside to show you which mode it is in. Don't worry too much about the orange light. you'll see what I mean when you get it. I was just commenting on how I made a suggestion to them. I wasn't trying to make you worry about it.

Alright then I'll have to wait and see. It should arrive today. The strains Im runnin right now, chocolope and recon , both from DNA, dont seem to herm no matter what. Seems like I could body slam em, piss on em and throw em off my roof and they wouldnt herm so the orange light shouldnt affect em. There has been several fuckups recently in that room and not a single nut sack on em. Lets just hope the next few cuts imma be runnin arent more herm prone. But if you have been flowerin for a month with no herms then that gives me hope.

Nice choice on strains. I'm down for DNA's genetics. I'm vegging cannalope haze and purple wreck right now. goood luck on your grow.

imagination land? Isn't that where Jesus is?

Ya I have a pack of the cannalope haze(c99) and a pack of annunaki from DNA also but those arent gonna get started till prolly this summer.I got all 4 packs for 25 bucks each from a friend in Cali. I wanna run sum cuts of the recon as I can already tell I have a few winners. I never seen so many trichs on a plant after 3 weeks of flowering, simply amazing. Wish I had bought a few more packs of the recon when it was on weekend special on seedbay a few weeks ago, oh well. Jesus is everywhere .....I think strawberry shortcake is smoking a bowl with him as we speak in fact.

Don't believe all the bullshit here. Cannalope haze is Cannalope haze not C99. I ran it a few years back. I'm growing my second pack now. the first back was the best pack of seeds I have ever bought.

Damn great price on those seeds. are they F2's or F1's from DNA themselves.

It depends on who you ask when it comes to any seedbank. I recieved an order last month from doc. It was my first ever mail order. I typically like to go to the dam and do the mule work myself. From my experience I would say yes they are reliable.

well I have just opened mine up and there now looks to be a blank place where a light should be, no orange light when operational.

btw, looks like I'm the 1st in UK with one of these.
 :D
