Anyone smoke cones? ( conical shaped joints)

I just recently started paying attention to "cones", the pre-made ones that are already rolled and you just pack them with bud.

I wanted to picks a few up and give them a try bu they seem very hard to get a hold of where I live. I even tried looking online and it seems the only shops I've found so far are in Europe.

How come cones aren't a big hit with the United States/ Canadian crowd or are they?

For all you cone smokers: how do they smoke differently than a regular joint?

Thanks :)

I've smoked them before. They're really convenient if you're too messed up to roll a joint. Just break up the bud and scoop it into the cone, then pack with the little wooden packer that it comes with.

My friend rolls nothing but cones, and I love them. I personally can't roll a doobie to save my life, but he is damn good at it. I like cones better because I find that they draw better. Plus I just like the way they look and feel. :joint:

Are you talking about those cyclone cones or the joint ones. Either way I'd rather just roll my own joint, I love it when you roll a beauty that looks and burns perfect.

L's are good, however if you can find them Bamboo's make a very large paper that you can roll a cone in perfectly. I don't see why people pay money for pre rolled cones...they're just as easy (if not easier) to roll as your standard joint. Plus pre rolled ones just dont pack as evenly or pull as nice as one rolled WITH the material inside.

:yeahthats

I (and my mates) used to regularly roll conical spliffs when I first started smoking pot, but I stopped when I started rolling with hand-rolling tobacco rather than toasted cigarette tobacco.

To get a decent cone, we always used to stick two kingsize papers in an L-shape, with the far end of the horizontal paper glued to the gum of the vertical paper. To get a longer, thinner cone stick the vertical paper at an angle to the horizontal paper (you'll be left with a thin triangle of paper sticking up that can be cut, torn (carefully), or burned off). I highly recommend a cardboard roach as otherwise the end can become sodden with tar (big cross-section of burning stuff, small cross-section of roach problem). For best results I put the roach in after I've rolled it, and pack down the herb at the open end with a matchstick (it's often a little loose and burns unevenly otherwise).

L's work awesome. Bamboo's are my friends favorite papers. Trying to finish this 300 pack of smoking blacks. Then I'll grab some bamboos. I have too many types of rolling papers to go out and buy more.

i love cones... but i sure don't need to buy pre-spun shells.

the fact is that stuffed cones never burn as evenly and nicely as hand rolled...

my cones hit better and burn more evenly than cigarettes... i challenge anyone here to a roll off...

Ha, seeing as how I can't roll worth a flip, I was wondering if anybody used this method before. Back before any of my friends could roll, we would always wrap a paper around a pen, remove the pen, twist up one end, and stuff the rolled up paper with bud, packing it in with then pen we rolled it around. Close up the other end and you got yourself a pathetically rolled joint! :woohoo: Man I am glad my friends can roll now because that was such a ghetto way of doing it. Especially before you get the hand of packing the herb in evenly and your doob starts burning in sections.

Hmmm an official roll off would be interesting. Just imagine it, and at the end everyone's the winner because everyone has a joint to smoke....oh man.

Man, I intend to learn how to roll cones. I must admit my joint rolling abilities are limited... With all the info around though, nothing is impossible!

Damn, I can roll a normal joint fairly well, however I have never been able to get a cone shaped correctly.. I would also like to learn how, it's one of my goals for this month :D

I can roll tulips tho..
