Anyone see "V For Vendetta"?

I walked into the theater expecting this movie to suck, given the Wachowski Brothers' latest Matrix movies were far from stellar.

But I was completely blown away. This has to be one of the best movies I've ever seen, they EASILY got you to suspend all disbelief and get completely sucked into what was going on. There were a few plot twists that you REALLY didnt see coming, and "V" was just an amazing character. Also with all the wars and stuff currently going on, governments going to hell, made it all very relevant.

Has anyone else seen it? What was your opinion?

Glad to hear someone has seen it already. I've been waiting for this movie to come out and see some post on it. I'm going to see it on when everyone is at work and in school. I hate a packed movie and everyone talking or just being asses. Looking forward to it from all the online feedback i've been reading. Glad to hear it was killer. It looks killer and i'm looking forward to it on Monday.

The conservatives won't like it at all, it almost seems like it was created to get on their nerves. I'm not a conservative though; it was awesome

Mhm, and you'd expect him to be portrayed as some asshole that everyone is out to get, but you end up cheering him on throughout the entire movie. I'd say more, but I dont want to spoil it for anyone

more like one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter, even if they don't know it. It shows the aspects of brutality though. The movie doesn't show the collateral damage that happens.

Overall I think its a decent movie, I liked the idea behind it, but it wasn't awe inspiring to me.

I'm pretty sure Alan Moore didn't want DC making a movie about his comic, since he wasn't happy with LEague of Extraordinary gentlemen but he's probably satisfied. The comic is even more in-depth though.

When you have a terrorist government i think you can expect a citizen or 2 to have the balls to pay you back. Death sentence for having a Quran(sP)?

I'm pretty sure the collateral damage is paramount to the damage cause by their national policy. V is not pretending anything, I rather have a knife stuck on me than have billls and laws enforced in a way that cut you as deep but pretend to be doing something good.

V's methods or anything about him don't affect the movie, he needn't be any good to waste those that make him a hero in comparison.

I haven't seen it yet but it is definity a 'must see' for me. Just seeing the trailer it makes me think about what people find themselves doing when governments start acting like bullies. Little by little all the freedoms that our forefathers fought for are being eroded day by day.

Makes me wonder about how much longer this will keep going on, how many more of our rights are we going to lose.
