Anyone running Canna coco nutes/GH or AN nutes? Nothing else?

Curious to see if anyone is using just base A/B and maybe a little adder here or there. And their results. I ran AN Sensi A/B last grow with only adding silica and Over drive. Turned out pretty decent.

I've ran GH Maxibloom for years with mixed results. This run has been supplemented with Liquid Koolbloom, floralicious plus and some flora nectar. Cant say they've made a difference and they absolutely destroy my rez with slime even at 65 degrees.

I really want to try veg+bloom soft but its next to impossible to find in canada.

I have used Remo with good success in two grows, a blend of Remo & Advanced Nutrients in my last grow & I am trying Canna Coco now. I always add a cal/mag supplement, although I had some nitrogen excess last week with the Remo version since it is 3-0-0. I have been adding it sparingly every several days & I plan to switch to the GH version (1-0-0) this weekend. I have been also using a root supplement (Remo's Velokelp) & their bloom enhancer Astroflower (it's their PK).

Running the whole Canna coco line. Had no issues at all. I've been using it for years. Yes, a bit pricey but does the job for me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. One thing I have discovered - you don't have to run your ec in excess of 1.4 during full flower. I began to get slight nute burn on the tips of my leaves when getting past that number.

Canna A&B coco base nutrients and a bloom booster, that’s it.

Have any pics of finished buds? I was running the whol A N line and while had great results with minimal effort... not sure if it was the nutes or just the better quality clones I was using. But running full line just getting pricey specially for just personal smoke.

I just bought coco AB and pk 13/14. My tap water is 0.5EC. Do u think i'll be okay with this or do i need to add calmag?

What ec would u recommend starting with?

I would always use Cal/Mag.

LESS IS MORE

200 ppm of a + b for veg. is plenty.
350 ppm of a + b for flower is plenty.

CaliMagic/Canna A&B ratio
150 ppm/200 ppm = 350
100 ppm/300 ppm = 400
50 ppm/ 400 ppm= 450

Here is a chart the gives the ratios of Calcium in given ppm of A&B.
This Calcium information is purely based on a Canna schedule, using CaliMagic. Once you hit around 700 ppm, Canna base nutes, you no longer need Cal/mag additives.
This is based on slightly rough math but is very close to correct, in my experience.

A&B
3 ml/gal = .4 EC = 200 ppm with around 44 ppm of calcium
4.5 ml/gal = .6 EC = 300 ppm with around 66 ppm of calcium
6.2 ml/gal = .8 EC = 400 ppm with around 88 ppm of calcium
7.7 ml/gal = 1 EC = 500 ppm with around 112 ppm of calcium
9.2 ml/gal = 1.2 EC = 600 ppm with around 135 ppm of calcium.

I use GH Cal/Magic and I believe the recommended rate is 3.5 ml (1 tsp/5 ml)/gallon. I use Canna Coco's line of nutrients but I back off of their recommended rates, as I feel they are way high. For example, in veg I will add only 200 ppm of A&B and in flower 350 ppm. Now these rates do not give me the Cal ratio needed. You need around 150 ppm of calcium alone.....so even if when I'm at 200 ppm if I only added 100 ppm of Calimagic, only 75 is calcium so I would still be a tad short. In flower, I use RO (55 ppm of Cal/Mag), to this I add 0.75 ml Cal/Magic (68 ppm) and 0.5 grams Epsom (63 ppm) per gallon to bring my #'s to 131 ppm, below the 150 ppm needed, That's without the 55 ppm of the RO, then begin adding the base nutrients. But I have been working with this and it seems ok. I believe it has to do with the 55 ppm of Cal/Mag that is added back to my RO water.

pH of 5.8 and let it drift to 6.0 to 6.1. Drip Clean for the win, helps clean the root system of excess nutes and keeps you nozzles clean.

Hope this makes sense!

canna coco is goood for me for dtw. only a+b
need too much ml/L for decent EC (1 liter = 1 grow +-)
in reservoir too much clog, no good for drip. does not need extra calcium

h&g no clog, always clean and smooth reservoir
little ml/L for decent EC, easy to burn plant but better fertilizer overall (1 liter = 2 grows)
needs calcium
more acid than canna, without drip clean pH easy go 5.1

that my experiance
best luck

Thanks for the reply. But if my tap water is 250ppm already why do i need to add calmag?

Thanks. That post says if starting water is 0.4 or slightly higher (mine is 0.5) i shouldnt need to add calmag. I just wanted to confirm this.

I'd say give it a shot at a low rate with one plant and not with another and compare the two? The tap water where I live changes it's hardness depending on the time of year so I tend to err on the side of caution and always add a little and haven't noticed any ill effects. Sometimes the best way to learn is to do. :D

no offence but those ppm amounts in a well tuned room with co2 and your plants would be drastically underfed. if I feed 600pms in flower they'd be dead in a week.

oh to the op.. I use the AN base only with big bud. and I use RO so total ppms about 900-1000 with calmag.

For my coco grows, I use AN products:
Sensi Coco A+B
Bud Candy
B-52
Big Bud Coco

I do use GH Cal-Magic for my cal-mag supplement, though.
