hey guys, ive been all up and down the internet. i posted here in general with hopes of getting a few more views. im looking for 64 oz cups like the double big gulp cups as 7-11 here in the states. i asked the guy at 7-11 if he would sell me a stack of cups and he begrudgingly agreed but was going to charge me full price for the cups. 1.50 a cup, which is the same as it would be with soda. im looking for about 30 or so of these cups to use for planters for my sog perpetual set up. 3x3= 9 plants per square, planning on adding 9 more plants every 3 weeks. if someone knows somewhere that ill let me order 64oz straight sided cups i would be eternally greatful. these freakin cups are the only container i have found that will fit exactly the way i need them too in my set-up. ive looked just about everywhere.

thanks

HAlf gallon milk jugs or two liter bottles will be about the right size and available free.

just got in to different 7-11's and take 4-5 at a time, its all fresh off the boat immigrants that work at the ones here, they don't even pay attention to anything

called 2 restaurant supply stores in my area and the dollar store was a no go either. i emailed that one company, if they dont get back to me im gonna look into the 1/2 gallon grow bags or 2 liter soda bottles to see if they will work. i think those pails are too wide and not deep enough.

after reading drbudgreenjeans thread about his 20z coke bottles, we figure that the deeper the better so the root will go nice and deep as opposed to spreading out horizontally. looking to create buds on a stick. guess we will have to wait and see.

You can hardly buy a legit plant pot for that kind of money and the reason he has to charge you full price is that the store owner probaly uses a 'cup count' to determine how much product leaves the store & how many sales of each size beverage are made. 20 sales on the cash register of 64oz. sodas on Monday and yet 50 cups gone that day just won't add up, it's the retail 'checks and balances' to keep employees honest.

I went to Wal-Mart & bought opaque iced tea/water pitchers for .69 each but had to cover them with black electricians tape (roots never see daylight) and also had to cut the handles off. Those pitchers were 64oz. btw & could also be found in any dollar store, but then they'd cost you a buck not just .69

good luck Endo.......

I checked each link & it is far cheaper to go back to that 7-11 & pay $1.50 per cup, you'll have them that day & won't be stuck with 90-160 extra cups at close to $1.00 each.

for any one interested. the ones they call short, are perfect. 9in tall and 3.75 wide. and this will actually allow an extra row in the cab. so instead of 3x3 it can go 3x4. ordered 40 of them and its costing me about 10 bucks. great deal for anyone thinking of doing something similar. .26 cents a piece. what a deal.
