What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Seed
What is the age of your plants? 20 days flowering
How Tall are the plants? 38-45 inches
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Flowering
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) Letting them grow natural
What size pots are you using? 3 gallon square
What substrate/medium are you using? 2 parts FFOF 1 part light warrior 1part perlite.
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each with how much water? How Often? Whole fox farm line using FF tiger bloom and FF open sesame as of yesterday. Before that: big bloom and grow big + cal mag and I give nutes once a week 1/4 to half dose
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? need tds pen will get in a month

Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? no
Are plant's infected with pest's? on

Here are the pictures, these are all bottom leaves and the symptoms are very slowly rising up. A lot of the plants have the claw and I took this as a phosophorus deficiency so I gave hem first dose of flower ferts yesterday. Originally I thought it was a N deficiency cuz they both exhibit the claw according to what I have read but I was iving them what I thought ws plenty of Nso I flushed the two bad ones and fed phosphorus nutes + epsom. What do you guys think?

the bottom leaves will almost always start falling off after a few weeks of flowering, this is normal with most strains i have grown. expect alot more to fall off before your done flowering. As long as the top sets of leaves are not displaying deficiantcies your ladies should be fine. you shold have posted a pic or 2 of the actual plants. peace

Pics of just the affected leaves aren't all that helpful without a pic of the whole plant showing those leaves still attached- you got some bigger ones?

yeah, we would need to see the whole plant to give you any kind of educated guess. I would agree to what ol' stinkfinga says about lower sets falling off in flower. Its to be absolutely expected.
My semi-educated guess is too much N. The "claw" is a deadnuts giveaway to this. Try this..let em dry out, plain ph'd water, dry, water, dry, water/feed (lightly!) with just some P and K and continue that for a couple of weeks. But expect lower growth to fall off continually. It's the plant showing you it's feeding into itself.

edit: boy this thread sure smells funny! Hi Ms.Attic! ya snuck in just as I was postin..you wanna listen to this lady here 40 Amps, she knows what she's doin!!

Lol knock it off cellardweller, you're making me blush.

The plant will cannibalize its own low leaves during flower as you restrict Nitrogen in its diet- that is natural; the reason I ask for a pic of the plant is that the EXTENT of this sloughing-off of dead foliage is going to tell you whether you need to change the diet. If the leaves are falling before about 3 weeks to harvest, in significant numbers, you might have a heavier feeding strain on your hands and want to continue your veg nute up into the second week of flower (=during stretch period) to slow it down and time the dieoff more in line with your harvest schedule.

Preface: I forgot to mention the top of the steam turn purple/redish and so do the veins of the leaves.

Ok thanks a ton guys. I don't think I really have too much of a problem as these are 38-45 inch plants and not really many leaves fall off at all. Reason I didn't take pics of the whole plant is because they are so damn big it would be a far away picture hehe. I will post some tonight when I get a chance. I am thinking this is probably the natural loss of leaves as there are so few falling off of each one; I did not know they naturally did this.

Top leaves show 0 deficiencies other than a claw on some of them or leaf tips pointing downward although all showed at least one of the two symptoms thats what lead me to believe P deficiency cuz I really watched my veg nutes and gave low doses only once a week and they recieved 0 P until day 20 flowering.

Will post whole plant pics around 9 tonight most likely. They are some bad lookin ladies so far though for a first timer don't get scared! heh

and on a side note I did continue veg nutes until 2 weeks into flowering as I have read about the benefits of doing this. I switched on day 20 to be exact.

I really think in the meantime you should get a fan blowing on the plants, sicne you say you don't have one at the moment, and insufficient air flow around your garden can certainly add to this sort of problem. I look forward to pics!

Oh no I did not think that is what the question it was asking. I should have clarified. I have 2 fans one blowing over the tops not directly on plants and one blowing underneath the canopy half way down the plants on a lower setting.

Big hungry plant in a little eensy pot!
Foliar spray down low with GH Micro to correct; if your runoff is off, get it back up o around 6.7. Does your setup allow for larger pots, in case you have to re-pot later? They look like they are still going to get a lot bigger.
Also, I bet your plants are really densely packed, with a continuous canopy- but with a nice canopy comes lack of light to low branches and leaves, and your plants tend to slough off leaves that sit in the dark. You ever see pics of the Pistilwhipt method? It's an interesting approach to ensuring even canopy with outstanding air flow and no wasted plant energy underneath. It's the other extreme end of what you've got going there.

Pots are about 6 inches apart so a little crowded 5x5 area for 15 of them in 3 gallon squares. I really needed a second tent but I will have one for next run.

In place of GH micro could I use FF big bloom?

Thanks for all the help I will read about pistil's method and see if I will apply it.

GH Micro is a more concentrated micronute supplement that has some N in it to help keep those low leaves from dropping too early- I'd only use it once or twice because of that. Other possibilities would be spray-n-grow or algoflash regenerateur. Your base bloom nute would be okay, but not ideal.
