9.6?! i hope ya don't drink that.
I use that brand (even same bottle type) of pH down....don't really have to use my smaller container of up unless i mix too much down in.

i forgot what my pH drop per drop per gallon is, but a very small amount does a whole lot. 1-3mL per gallon should give you the desired drop if im remembering right. I think directions were on the label though. could be wrong on that as im away from my grow at the moment.

Just add a little at a time, shake well, and then wait a few minutes before meauring. It doesn't work instantly, as it needs to react with /fully dissolve into the water and nutes.

I always add after i've put all my nutes in, as my GH 3 part lowers the pH on its own a lil.

sorry i was vague, but i really haven't been using it much lately and im rusty on it.

when mixing into a gallon, I just usually fill the cap enough that the bottom of the cap is covered with a film, and then dump that in. 1-3 times of this should be enough to do the job.

9.6 is very alkaline and is hard water, I had water like that and I always had to cart water in, not to mention the fact the water company was using a water softener, you may have some problems using that water......
GH ph up and down is very good to use and is safe to use, just make sure you let your water sit out before using it for 24 hours.

there is not going to be any "instructions" on how much ph down/up you will have to use. Depends on whats already in you water. What I do is take a gallon of water and mix it up, then I add my ph down a couple of drops at a time, and then I test the water to see what the ph is at. That way I just multiply that by the amount of water I am going to use.

Yes, let your water sit out 24 hours before using your pH down.
Chlorine disapates from the water too which is good, will totally mess up your plant.
You use it by first testing the pH out of tap and before you use the pH up or down you test the pH, because the pH can rise or go down depending on how hard/soft your water is. You most definatly have hard water......
I bet your tap is coming out at least 200.
Cheap is very right about using the pH up and down;
So when you test your pH you slowly add more and shake real good and test it until you get your level of PH you want. GH pH up and down is good and very stable, unlike vinegar and lemon juice; it works; but it does not last long once it's been sitting in the water; it breaks down very quickly.

So when you use those lemon juice and vinegar to control pH a lot of times pH goes up and down from it not being stable.

Ya, wait till they need to be watered before using it.but it will just change the the mediums pH. ORganics have there own pH

but it will change the pH of the organics a bit, but that happens and can't be avoided.
