I might know the Maine skunk. Got some seed from a friend who visited Maine a couple years back and it was superduper skunky. Grew out with dark green indica looking fans, but low to averadge yield. Once you get used to the ultra skunkiness it has multiple layers of complexity in the aroma. The high is also complex and one of the strongest ever. If you think this may be the same (instead of wasting my time) let me know and I could give more detail.
The orange crush is IMO probably California Orange or AE77 renamed, but I don't know that for a fact. How did you get the seeds?
(edit) ROT: yeah you probably got it I remember hearing the same thing about OC now.
are either one good for outdoor? Aeric a friend gave his cousin the beans, hes got an amazing indoor in maine and swears by the authenticity! so can they be grown outdoors? sillyphilly
Hmmmmm now if that's the real road kill skunk, skunk then man you are in for some joys, would love to find that real old school skunk, especially in m/f seed.
There are 2 skunks in this area SillyPhilly. 1 is original super skunk like from 89 or something.the other is Mass skunk, which has been reproduced for about 10 plus years in these woods. Depending on who the breeder is, my bro up there (no seeds, no male) has true stock clones. So if yours is called Maine Skunk, I can bet someone hit a Mass with something they thought would pair up nicely. but just a guess. Oh yea :Grow the skunk outside no prob. man Just do it now!!!!
In my mainiac days (1996-2000) we had a "Maine strain" we called the skunk. It was indeed a Super Skunk line circa 88 or 89 that had been climatised to the northern Maine outdoor envirement. When i lived in the area, i had hundreds of these seeds, maby thousands. Im afraid i took them for granted and have non today. If this is the same Maine skunk then you have a dank indica well suited to indoor or outdoor conditions, high yeilding and very, very stinky.
Now that I think about it I have no way of being sure it is the same until u grew it and could tell me pretty much the same things about it, so I don't want to be misleading. I know for a fact that it HAS to be one of those superskunk types though, because you can smell it from the other end of a house when it was in an airtight jar, and it was without a doubt from Maine.
Yes skunk varieties in general are old school, highly tested and bred for outdoor and indoor. Another interesting detail was that the resin reached up the petioles and main stems, it wasn't just on the bud. OK fine a little more detail: had coffee, cherry, urine, chocolate undertones. The high gave a strong downward pull the 1st hour, lasted 4+ hours, came in strong waves, caused tracers and audibly everything echoed. Strong pulses up and down the spine, adrenaline feelings in the gut. Very social high with a baby toke, very energetic but overpowering with more than 2 hits. Fans didn't seem to want more than 5 blades. I've got a scan of a lower fan leaf, will add in a minute.
