Anyone know of a pure Sativa with Lemon Flavor?

Hi all,

By trial and error here, just 6 degrees north of the equator, I learned that only pure landrace sativas do well. With that limitation in mind, I would like to ask you guys if anyone can think of a pure Sativa that delivers a strong lemon flavor and taste ?

Seems most of the lemon flavored strains I hear of are either indicas or indica/sativa hybrids, all of which tend to go to bud right out of the seed in these parts, producing very tiny amounts of harvest.

In the past, I read many rave reviews about the delicious flavor of of Lemon Thai, whose seeds were sold by Federated many moons ago, but more recently I simply cannot find any other sativa that is reputed to deliver the sort of lemon blast that I crave.

Having finally canoed out through the creeks to clear the brush around my swamp-island grow areas in anticipation of starting a new crop, I decided to seek advice here before I place my seed order, since my obsession with growing only lemon flavored sativas is as strong as ever. Any help on finding this Holy Grail would be much appreciated.

SE Asian Sativas often have citrus as well as some Mexican varieties. Limon Verde or some of the Meao Thai crosses would fit the bill. I'd ask Dubi on the Ace forum. Destroyer from Cannabiogen is made from Meao Thai as well as mexican and columbian genetics...you'll get some lemon from that as well. Other than that, you MAY find some SE Asian Phenos in Haze genetics (TFD Tom Hill). Most others are Sativa/indica hybrids

mexi seeds might do ya well,ya could always try the sour d ibl
maybe ssssdh
better to have some kick ass weed and lots of plants than huge harvest of shit weed
id get a local variety from there and cross to sd ibl for potency and lemon flavor if i was you, then have a lifetime of killer seeds with huge harvests of lemon weed

Apolopgies for the double post on this subject, guys. I did try to delete one copy, but without success.

@BudChopper and OneTokeOver's vote for GHS Super Lemon Haze is noted with gratitude. Greenhouse product is on the pricey side, but I am so desperate for lemon bud that selling my mother-in-law to raise the cash for quality beans won't be out of the question heh heh.

@Booyah I have heard mention of several Thai strains having the lemon flavor, and grew some IBL Thai from World of Seeds with my last crop, in the hopes of finding a lemon pheno. Didn't succeed back then, but haven't lost hope yet. I will read up on TFD from Tom Hill, and I thank you for these pointers.

Whatever I eventually select, it will have to be a 100% sativa, or pretty close to it, as I a grow in a humid swamp forest located just 6 degrees north of the Equator, where the daylight and night hours remain 12/12 pretty much year-round, and the seasonal rains are heavy for several months a year.

I learned the hard way that there is no point growing anything with much indica content in this climate. I wound up with a number of puny 2-inch tall budlets-on-a-stick from my first and only ever indica experiment here in the tropics, so its sativa all the way from here on out.

@Shawkmon There is a lot of wisdom in trying out a few local beans now and then. In these parts, there is NO concern with growing seedless bud, or with genetics, so simply adopting good cultivation practice may well yield that diamond in the rough I seek, starting with seeds obtained from average commercial bud. Much thanks for that reminder.

hey swamp thing, way way up here at 26N tried ace golden tiger last year and the flavor was not straight lemon but sweet lemongrass/thai. it is malawi gold x meao thai, very potent very beautiful pure sativa. good luck in your searching.

How about Zamal? I bet I have that name wrong, I don't know where to get it anyway.

TFD = The Flying Dutchman...him and Tom Hill both release a haze that may or may not give you some lemony phenos.

I would go with Double Thai from ACE if you are looking for a pure Sativa from pure Thai origin that can handle some serious moisture.
