I made one out of ¼" plywood and firring strips with a temp/humidity sensor that controls a fan. The air intake is at the bottom front of the box and has an air filter, the exhaust is at the top back. I've been using it for the last 4 years with great results. It's on the small side, but I harvest in batches. It has a Sonoff sensor, so I can monitor the temp/rh from my phone. Power cord attaches underneath. Since the photos were taken I've put latches on it.Looking to build one myself and would love to see what other have built.
Im thinking a humidity/temp controlled mini fridge. plugged into some inkbird controllers.
You should lay out what a curing period consists of if you are going to call it bullshit. Cuz in.....I don't know...40 + years of smoking cannabis, no one has ever tried telling me that 3 yr old bud was 'cured' or even tried to sell me. But anyone who thinks that flower dried, burped, and cured in a jar for 30-60 days under correct conditions isn't better than fresh does not understand the process. Or isn't doing it correctly.Nobody wants to hear this but imo 'curing' is total bullshit made up by the old heads back in the day when they were trying to sell you old herb from 3 years ago as some kind of 'premium' product.
Cannabis does not get better with age, it gets less complex as the more volatile sesquiterpenes evaporate.
The dryer your herb is when it's stored the longer the terpenes will last. Storing herb slightly moist is a great way to kill all the terps, hence the reason Boveda and similar products have such a terrible effect long term.
Dry your herb completely in a cool / cold room and you'll get the best results possible.
If you like your herb to be a bit moist when you smoke just re-moisten it before you use it.
Curious beta, honest curious, and not takin a wack at ya. What kind of grass do you grow/smoke?Cannabis does not get better with age,
Made some 5g but didn’t use them as I couldn’t sort out an annoying whistle sound from a couple buckets . Seems like solid low tech approach. Maybe try again this fall.Another forum that I frequent is currently discussing an Auto Curing Bucket. Basically, a 5G/20L bucket with an aquarium pump, hoses, and a few Boveda packs. Google "greenflower curing bucket" and it should come up. I haven't used it, so I can't say how well it works, but it looks cheap and potentially good.
