i have gone away for a 10 day cruise, i set up a temp flood an drain just without the drain. i put the buckets the girls were in in side a short but large floor space storage bin fill the bin about 4 inches up with my nutes/water an let em be, it was kind of a wick system just ghetto. if you do this make sure you do a test run to see how much nutes/water you have to put in the bin so it will last for the time your gone, an after its gone they have 1-3 days before ya have to fill it again depends on how big the buckets their in are.

seems like a PITA. can 4 plants in a tent under 250CMH and good exhaust and air movement be unharmed w/ 4 days of no water? i am thinking maybe just give them alittle bit more water on day i leave....

I used to have plants in 3 gallon grow bags in a overly hot room under 1200 watts and wouldnt water them for 4 days at a time. they were droopy and im sure it was detrimental to overall yield somewhat but they easily lived, couple hours after watering they were fine.

I'm going for 8 days. I usually run 3 gal pots and plan on switching to 5 gal pots with water crystals and a wick system. I have a 600hps. I guess I'll find out whether it worked when I get back haha

They will probably be alright if your containers are big enough and your temps aren't too high. If you're really worried about it, a simple wick system is the way to go. You can run a couple pieces of rope through your drain holes. Put your containers on top of some up side down flower pots sitting in a tub of water and let the rope hang down into the water. As your plants dry out moisture will be wicked up into the soil, but not so much that you will get root-rot.

I have gone for 5 days ina row, I just really soaked them before I left, and yes they were thirsty when I got back, but turned out no worse for wear, you will be fine

Just make sure that nothing changes when you are gone. Such as, if you open doors make sure they are open, etc, no sense cooking your plants.

Vin a cheap way is to take styrafoam cup fill with water poke a pin hole and make sure it drips then place on top of soil and this should work out for you
