  1. I never really got the toilet paper thing... Soap and water? Yea. Toilet paper and paper towels while nice are not really that important in the grand scheme of things. People in third world countries are shaking their heads at our priorities.

I did a pretty decent job prepping back in March, and am just only now getting into the soups.

IMO, there may be a second wave in big cities where people riding mass transit huddle together, but this summer will allow people to get outside and be healthy in the sun. It may end it. We'll see, but I won't be buying any TP or paper towels for a long time.

IMO, the biggest deal is the working people who were sent home, without any real savings to fall back on. Remember how all the talk was most people couldn't handle a $500 emergency? This lockdown was worse.

Yes i think the economics of this are as bad as the disease but there is not a quick fix for either. Social trends not looking so great on top of that.
I keep think i will wake up and turn on the news and theres none...lol

I'll be hoarding beans, rice and canned goods, starting a garden for vegetables and if things aren't going well by the end of Summer the chicken coop goes up!:tiphat:

I have a garden but am working on a makeshift green house. Of course protein is king. You would need a huge garden to keep yourself alive. Im thinking of keeping all my gas cans filled, my propane tank filled, got a freezer on the way, got new shotfun and shells. Shells for my other guns,
Got a small generator, i want a propane fireplace before cold weather comes back. Keeping cash,,liquor and cigarettes on hand as well. Lots of canned veggies and canned meats, dried beans, peas and corn meal and some oatmeal.

well a garden plus the chickens and hoarded beans, etc should see me thru for 1 yr (that's the plan!)...... and it helps to have a current personal reserve of fat to metabolize if things get tough.;) Will be keeping the gas tank topped up at all times and luckily I live in a mild weather area surrounded by lots of farms.

...... on the to-do list is 1 gun for protection and 1 cyanide capsule in case the ATM's or direct deposit system collapses.:tiphat:

Stashed cash is the remedy for non-functional ATMs, not a cyanide pill. You'll be fine up in them thar hills.

And remember that weed will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times of no weed.

Stock seeds and ferts.

I have lots of lawn fertilizer and many more seeds than i can ever run. I will be ordering some heirloom veggies from burpees and baker creek.
I keep some cash but not like i used to.

The underground economy will be hard to navigate without giving away the fact you are sitting pretty and your neighbors are not. That will be a skill in itself.

I have 3 years worth of toilet paper that I bought last May on sale on Amazon. I have a years worth of Lysol disinfectant spray. Bought way before the crisis. I have beaucoup MRE's. I have a whole house generator and 35 gallons of stabilized gasoline on hand. We drink only distilled water. Countertop distillers. Have been for the past 40 years. Ex Boy Scout, ex Army Officer, ex business owner. Retired at 46. I am ready except for the Aliens I caught on camera on 3 Feb 2020 over my house. 3 distinct LARGE triangular craft, silent, slowly cruising the area. There are a lot of Aliens visiting Earth. I will surrender.

Sounds like you are set up. The only thing is .....buy yourself a small water bong. I have not used papers in years.

My first sttempt was a indoor grow of a lebanese landrace that hermied like hell. Then i crossed island sweet skink and tashkenti, this year i crossed pineapple thai and romulan grapefruit. I have all those seeds plus a bunch of landraces and heirlooms and freebies...i have thought of growing nthe lebanese outdoors but i would want to do it by itself in case it hermied again.
