Anyone ever used an intake filter to scrub exhausted air?

Accidentally bought an intake carbon filter instead of an exhaust and I was wondering if anyone ever used one for exhaust. It says you can use it for low intensity exhausting, but that doesn't sound very reassuring.

It is an 8" phresh filter going on an 8" vortex to filter a 4' x 8' grow tent.

Dude I believe all carbon filters will say exhaust filter that's what they are. PEACE!

if u truly need a 8'' scrubber i would send it back.. it will probably only do the job of a 4'' inch exhaust filter

it might get u by as long as your not running diesels or skunks and such..

Just saw what you got yeah I wouldn't scrub outgoing air with that just intake. It only has a carbon felt filter only good for intake. Sorry bout that dude. PEACE!

Alright damn I will just grab another one then cuz it is all diesel and chemdog etc. I figured I would have to anyways just wanted to know if anyone had ever tested it before I tried to use it.

Yeah that filter isn't going to cut it . you need a good carbon filter that has at least a 2" thick carbon cavity all the way around the filter , that only has a thin cardon sheet . its basicly to keep dust & critters from entering your intake vents .

& buy a good brand name filter , these cheap Ebay pieces of crap don't work good enough to cover the smell of a healthy shit !!!

Phat , Phresh, Can ... not Can lites , they're crap too .

my recomendation would be a Can 66 & a active air 8" ho fan . the can fans are a little noisey .
but the phresh you linked will work pretty good .

Yeah I agree with the above posts. I like vortex fans.
