anyone chop sour diesel at 60 days

gotta chop mine i think...the good 'ol spidermites have had their day....only on 1 pretty bad, but the other few got a bit too....

trichs look mostly cloudy w/ a cpl amber....not sure really how the mite damage will affect potency or anything....the buds are super nice...just a toll on the leaves

anyone have experience with choppin SD a few dayz early?

Yeah the mites suck , but keep them down with ice water as much as you can & wait to takem as long as possible .pull as many fan leaves as you can wipe everything else down by hand . maybe even suck some off with the hose from a vaccume , just try not to scrape the trichs off .

Yea I have noticed the same thing every time I reveg its the Sour D or things it is crossed with that get the mites. I had a 2nd invasion in a row but this was was extremely minor and again stuck to a sour d plant in poor condition being revegged.

Seems you need to keep them tip-top health if those pests are around. They will not show up until flushing time it seems last 2-3 weeks of flowering (When they are weak) on the Sour D plants.

Hmm. If it's bad enough that you wanna chop ASAP what I'd do is leave em the dark for as long as I can possibly can before I chop em. Allows em to mature about 2x as much as normal. Doesn't do shit for weight, but potency yah.

N once had some early chopped SD. Day 56ish I believe. Was still very potent. more heady less body. But so short lasting had to burn a j like every 45 minutes-1 hr. And also wasn't as strong smelling. Taste, I dont remember TBH. Usually Sd for me is a 2hr+ stone with like an hour or so of tapering down.

And shit around these ways, fucking thrips seem to just love anything Sour. Always the first plant, and always constant battle. Well before my I found my new best friend Neem. Dip ROOTED clones, and no more problems.

A bud in the barn is better than 2 in the bush.As I'm sure you know those mites can decimate a cola almost overnight.Sometimes people chop the whole plant and hang it upside down in a closet and as the leaves shrivel from the top(bottom now) the mites crawl to the top.That way you may have considerably less mites in your flowers.60 days is still a long way to go for a big loss.I'm sure, like most of us you'll have smoked worse weed.Good luck.The buds will be better than you think.

im sure yas prolly wanna know what the plants im talkin' about actually look like...well here ya go ... (def gonna close shop for a cpl weeks and clean house)...never wanna see another spider mite again in my life.....all my clones will be treated from here on out too

the 1 in the back left got it worst...they all got hit, but i don't feel too bad taking the white widows at 60days...

yea thats looking real bad id cut it and focus on cleaning and getting everything mite free for the next run. check the under sides of the leaf on all new plants to come in and this will help you catch em before they show damage on the top side of the leaf. with sour it really depends on grow room conditions as to finish times, i usually run it right at 70, but Ive pulled it at 60 and it was still more bomb than 90% of sours on the market, all circumstantial....

i know you guys are all about organic and whatnot but a hotshot pest strip in your room for 3 -5 days should wipe out any signs of any bugs.

sure theres a miniscule amount of some sort of chemical in it that may cause cancer, but theres tons of chemicals in the air you breathe every second doing the same thing. is this where you're gonna draw the line?

It doesn't look all that bad, Ive seen way worse...also them sours and chems just attract spider mites like no other plant. Blue Dream is a mite whore too...

chopped the widows

...killed off all mites off the sour diesels

gettin close to 70 dayz

yea man the mites love the sour d........they love skunk1 as well......but sour allways gets hit 1st........glad you were able to get them to 70 10 more to go.....
