Yeah they work fine, just keep them high and dry and be gentle with the probes. I have lots of them.

I second Lazyman. I have a few that have been working fine for years. I wouldn't mind if the outlet was on the side though.🤔 Actually.... that might be an issue too.

They can get in the way.

Probably another reason homie recomenmends keeping them high, other than temp. OR maybe... haha

"Keep them high and dry" PERIOD!lol

don't they make your fans buzz/hum?

they only do that if they are trying to run the fans really slow, below 50% say. Mine makes no buzzing down to 50% of max and it gradually increases so at 40% its only a slight buzz. Mine was like 10 quid so expect these are at least as good. I like them.

Thanks for the responses!

You folks that have this unit....

Does the switch on the side adjust the minimum speed?
It looks like that changes with different versions of the device.

After a month I guess nobody has this one? OP, you probably figured it out by now anyway BUT my Control Freak twin fan controller has minimum and maximum controls as well as the target temperature control. All three controls are rotary knobs. I don't see how a binary switch would be suitable for adjusting anything since its on/off.
