Anybody grown Flying Dutchmens POG- Pots of Gold?

title pretty much sums it up. just looking for some information on POG from the flying ducthmen. it seems to get good reviews here and i am thinking about getting a pack or 2.

the taste of POG is described as sweet & hashy which i must have overlooked before, is this accurate?

is it stable? will it be possible to find a very good example from 1 pack of seeds or will i need more than one (if so how many)

please also post up pictures, phenotypes, and flowering times as well as examples of taste and smell & most importantly dried budshots of POG nugs if you have them.

I would say heavy sweet and spicy aroma/taste.

is it stable? will it be possible to find a very good example from 1 pack of seeds or will i need more than one (if so how many)

I popped just 5 beans, and got 5/5 females. 4 stocky/bushy and one with a bit more stretch and less branching. The last one, and one of the stocky had better bag appeal, and better potency. The Pog in the pic was picked maybe a week later, at some 60 days.

POG also known as Golden Skush, was and still is one of the better offerins i have grown. most plants are tight indicas, rangin from sweet skunk to sweet hashy smoke. some to the point of rotten citrus.

head is a up , with good duration, with some body note. very tasty pot, with nice big dense bud. theres also a sativa dom phenotype in the line.

only pic i have from my grow of it years ago. one of the first i ever run. easy plant to grow.

ganjalf - sounds like you had good luck with this strain! nice bud there, very frosty & looks quite dense. 60 days bloom is a not too long either.

great sounds like just what I'm looking for. most pheno's lean toward the indica side so they finish between 8 - 9 weeks then right? I'm guessing the sat pheno takes 10+ weeks?

i seen the golden skush, same mom different dad's if i remember correctly. also seems like a nice strain, do you know if the Skush or POG will have more pheno's that display the sweet hashy taste with large yields?

I grew a pack outdoors a couple years ago, very tight node spacing. Gives you a very heady high, however lighter smokers told me that they got wicked bad paranoia from it...however I never experienced anything of the sort.

At the old CW there was a tread about a POG in a 90 liter pot(I think), that yielded ~550 grams from a 600W. It def. looked indica leaning, but it went for ~70 days(Still according to my stoner memory - lol) The guy had just bought a new cam, and had quite a few nice macros to show.

It was indeed theherbalizor, and it was actually a 50 liter pot. I subscribed to the thread, and it was called 'Pot of Gold 50lt Soil 600w'.

It turns up a lot of stuff to look through..But the thread I remember is still not showing...Be sure to look into the Golden Skush threads as it is the same genetic makeup and will probably be a lot on POG in these threads...

yeah I think POG & golden skush throw up the most results, some interesting threads. not much on the way of phenotype but it seems from what i've read that the golden skush leans more toward the kush side of things.

Hard to say, it is a pretty good mix leaning Sativa side. She stretches pretty tall, finishing at 3.5 ft with a 2 week veg. This is definatly the best marijuana I have ever grown. Pot of Gold is a true gem in my garden, as good as any cali heirlooms I have grown.


The smell is quite strong. Hash/Kush/Skunk/Musk... smoke is smoothe and potent.

I ran TFD's POG and it was a really good yielder with skunky/musky [somewhat relatively 'kushy'] buds and scores of round funky crystally nuggets on the lowers... really good bubble to be had from her...
