Anybody else using nanolux ballast?

Anybody else using nanolux ballast? I just got a 1000 nano ballast and was wondering how dependable they were. Although the size isn't that big of a deal, the ballast is smaller than the other ones I've seen. Is their par output good? Thanks.

They seem to be the newer generation of ballasts. I was considering them along with Solis-Tek & Gavita. CAP makes them and they make some good reliable products. Japanese components. Also like the newer ballasts this year - supposedly more PAR. If you ask me you've made a good choice. ;)

i bought 3 of the 1000w nanao's in jan.
i love the 3 way dim feature and delayed start up to 30sec.
small light and they run cool at around @94F compared to the 160F plus of the mags
and nice price @$179

I just got one. 1000w. So far so good. My 1st digi ballast.
I was mildly upset with the store I got it from cuz they said it would
fire up any wattage 400/600/1000 but it turns out only 1000w can be fired.
Then they started telling me that I can use 400w or 600w bulbs if I dim the unit down.
I highly doubt that dubious advice. Typical hydrostore BS.
Oh well, thats OK I spose. I'm liking 1000w setups more anyways.
$175 from a brick and mortar store. I hate shipping stuff.

They have come out with some pretty cool stuff recently namely the 1000 watt flip ballast & the dual 600 watt both run on 120 volt . Both look pretty neat & if you poke around on the internet they both can be found for a very reasonable price

CAP does not make them, plus CAP/R&M is out of business. R&M was having some cheaper quality "nano" style ballasts privately branded. They had a high return rate bc they were so cheap, then R&M went out of business and left the nano style ballast with a bad name. Cheaper OEM style nano extreme was made with lower quality components, and without all the smart technology like soft start, random start, and soft dim.

Also, the notion that you can run a 400 or 600 bulb in a 1K ballast is false. It will over-clock or under-clock the bulb depending. This obviously isn't optimal and you will not get the proper lumen output or PAR value. Best to just dial down. This results in a minimal loss in PAR value while still reducing your lumenous output.
