Anybody Else Have To Keep Logging In On Each Visit Here?

Hal

Normally, I just click on my bookmark and it brings to me to IC and automatically signs me in, or IC Mag recognizes me, along those lines.

Today, I've had to sign in a few times to gain access. Anybody else experiencing the same thing?

Firefox started doing this to me in a recent update. I've moved over to using Google Chrome to solve it. I prefer Chrome now anyway. Firefox was giving me a few problems.

Firefox went crazy after the update for me too, tried chrome and hated it so uninstalled and reinstalled firefox 3.5 (not 3.5.6 or whateverthe last one was) and it's been perfect since then.

How do I get rid of this most recent update of Firefox, and re-install the previous version? I went to their website, and it seemed that all they were offering was the updated version.

Hey Hal, you can find previous versions here. (oldapps.com)

I've never uninstalled Firefox, but it should be as simple as running the uninstall program from Add/Remove Programs (assuming you have a Windows PC) and choosing the option to keep your personal data (like bookmarks, user names & passwords).

When you install 3.5.5 I think it should automatically integrate your bookmarks and stuff provided you install it in the same place, but I'm not certain about that.

When I use a free anonymizer or even phzilla, and try to logon, it is no good. Always get redirected back to login page.

Well, let me just identify myself as a dumbass. The initial situation that required me to log on with my name and password was due to....not really sure, probably something with Firefox update, maybe something else.

But the rest of the sign-in problems were totally MY fault! Arggghhhh!!! All I had to do was check that little box that says "remember me next time I visit" or something to that effect, and I would have been fine.

I finally realized this, checked the box, and presto change-o, problem fixed.
