Anybody else enjoy vaping barely dried fresh herb?

Welcome to flavor country?

I know it's weird, but I really enjoy vaping fresh herb... when it's just dry on the outside of a bud, and with a low temp setting on the vaporizer.

Anyone else enjoy partaking as such?

:woohoo:

vaping is a luxury I can't afford at this time

I have never tried a volcano yet, is that what you use ?

If its at a low setting and barely dry are you still getting good hits?doesn't the temp need to be a little higher?

I like vaping fresh bud not wet but dry better than cured stuff sometimes

I wish! I have an old vaporbox... it's not very exact, but you can play with the heat-level and get it to work pretty well (good enough that I'm still a bit baked).

I'll see how it goes as the bud continues drying, just impatient to get a little taste and have a few small buds to sample.

I like vaping buds fresh off the plants while they're still growing. The hits are a little wet and steamy, but the flavor is there. The high is there too, even if the plants are only a month into flowering. It's the best way I've found to try out my new plants before they're done.

here is something to try for the adventurous/desperate.

You can vape the trim off the plants. It will get you high. It lasts longer and gets stronger the later the flower trim used.

Trim as normal then spread the trim on a baking tray in an oven at 130 degrees C for 20mins.

You can add a layer of tin foil as well or instead if no baking tray.

After baking de stalk then crush with pestle and mortar. Some kind of smooth stone one works best.

Then into the jar and ready to be vaped.

I haven't been desperate in terms of being out of weed since the 90s. I started growing in 2000. "Impatient" seems like a better word than desperate. I always want to know what my plants will feel like before they're done.

My best "impatient" recipe is taking a few grams of dried fan leaves in veg (male or female) and simmering in whole milk. Strain and add chocolate syrup for a nice glass of chocolate milk that gets you high an hour later. I've done this with lots of strains that have just started to show preflowers in veg. One glass of chocolate milk can show you what the bud high will be like a few months later. Even from male plants.

Interesting, I've heard of making extracts (BHO) from male flowers, but hadn't heard of a fat extract. Sounds good!

Vaping is this stuff is still working out awesome... should probably pick up a bag and keep my hands off this yummy stuff, but it's hard to resist.

I don't know much about vaping or vaporizers,,But my old school steam pipe will sample any weed, right off the stem or old and dried out...Either way, the weed tastes beautiful....
My Rasta friend in Jamaica turned me on to this in the 70's..

It is a design that came to the Caribbean from India back in the days of slaves in the sugar cane fields.....Slaves came from Africa and India...My friend is descended from India..

You stuff a bud to the bottom of the tall bowl, and put coals in the tin pan on top and water in the large bamboo part... You draw the heat thru the buds and it "steams" or "vaporizes" the THC in the buds.. The buds never combust. When all the THC is steamed out of the buds, they are brown and dried out and crumbly, likes old leaves in the woods...

A buddy of mine told me many years ago, that there was "no way" this could work... Even when he was sitting there, totally toasted, he would still mumble the same thing...

He even wanted the old, dry, brown buds, to roll them up to smoke... I told him there was nothing left in them to get you a buzz....

Anyway, I still have it and still use it.. I've had to replace the bowl and the tin pan a couple times. It still works great and samples buds at any stage of development....

I've done it and I like it as a tool to feel the real flavour of the buds early on. but cured bud is nicer and easier to use.

^^^ Do you get any heat/vapors off the coal in your inhalation, or is it filtered through water before getting to you or something?

Very cool device either way, thanks for sharing!

That's really cool. :) That sounds like an old school vaporizer from before vaporizers were oficially invented.

The spent weed at the end sounds just like what you get from a vaporizer. Even if it seems like there's nothing left in them, you can grind them into a powder and put the powder into capsules. There's always something good left in them.

You do not get any heat at all from a hit on the steam pipe...It is essentially a water pipe...

My friend and his wife lived up in the hills of Jamaica in a small but nice 2 story, open ended, A-frame house he had built. But life was lived outdoors. Cooking was done in a small lean-to shed which had a cook fire pit and a propane, cast-iron cooktop..There were always coconut shells lying around by the fire pit for making the coals for the steam pipe. They are an extremely hard wood and make very nice charcoals...

Once a charcoal is properly made, nothing is left but carbon, so there are no gasses or vapors or flavors from the coals. For years after bringing my steamer back to the states, I made my coals from coconut shells. I would buy the coconuts at the supermarket.. Later I decided to try making and using charcoals from the native oak all around me...They work just fine too....

Back in the old days, most weed was seeded and the cool thing about the steam pipe is that you can just put any seeded (or not) bud down in the bowl and put the tin pan full of hot coals on top and the toke you always get is just a pure, flavorful THC hit..

My friend and his wife absolutely loved their ganja, but were very much against inhaling any smoke into their lungs...Because of this, and because of his love for the herb, he had steam pipes stashed everywhere, at all his friends houses, hidden in old hollow trees and stashed under rocks in the woods along any trails or paths he might be wandering along on any given day..
This way he could stop for an herbal break at anytime he felt like it, which was generally quite often!

Been mulling this over and had a thought. I have one of them dome-less titanium nails and was thinking what would happen if I dropped a lil premature nuggledge in.

Anyone tried this? I'm thinking of giving it a try come sun up for the ladies.
