If so, how is business? It has exploded on my end. I am playing 3 - 5 times a week in the middle of winter!!

Most of my work lately has been on percussion. I had been playing guitar, lead and/or rhythm depending on band or duo/trio. I haven't had to sing much all winter either and that makes me happy as the artificial heat in the winter kills my voice.

I have been busting my ass for the last couple of years and it has been really paying off - I am turning down work left and right. I used to tour and play all over but now I play mostly within an hour of my house and most closer and make just as much money and spend way less. I feel successful in that sense - I am making a living. I don't want to be on the road anymore due to my health.

I broke my back about a decade ago and they told me I would never play again due to the complications and the Fibromyalgia that came with it. I believed them for the longest time.

I was a chef too before I got hurt. I now work for a friend whenever I want. I write their menus and do their soups and don't have to do any line work- I just gotta get the work done before a certain time or the next day. I will go in and do some prep too as I just love the environment. I started in the industry 24 years ago and it seems to be in my blood.

I guess my point is - keep at your dreams. Don't let people, including doctors, tell you what you are capable of. And, if medical use of marijuana has helped you overcome health issues tell everyone who will listen.

Keep your karma clean.

I'm a musician, unfortunately I've only got one piano student right now.

I teach guitar to kids and friends ranging in age of 8-24+ and business has never been better, lot of people want to know how to play instruments these days...

I'm not officially a teacher but my friend is a teacher at a private school and every now and then he calls me up to sit in on a class and they have "music day" which is me just bringing all of my instruments and letting the kids have a jam session or something (most of it just them beating the crap out of the drums) but we always have fun and some of the kids are always interested in what I'm playing or when my friend and I sing for them. But he does pay me a little on the side for the favor so I really can't complain.

I play drums and do a little singing in a local classic rock band. This town has always been a little wierd about paying bands what they deserve. Things will be going in the right direction and then venues close, money drops and it gets hard to keep a group together. Man, I need to move to your town.

The music business is booming now, same as it was during the mid seventies. When the economy goes down, entertainment goes up.

Dude good luck! That's awesome!

As much as I hate the economy being the way it is, it's true, more people want to be entertained and even though there is no "scene" where I am, everyone is getting gigs no matter what genre.

Keep on rockin' ya'll!

I'm a musician. I do vocals. I'll be featured on a song on the C Money(trumpet player for slightly stupid)solo compilation album coming out March 5th released by youngcub records. Which song am I one? You'll have to listen and guess.
Hoping to release my solo project in the next year.
