Any strains to improve REM sleep?

The aim is try improve dream recall to improve the chance of lucid dreaming.

If our brains need REM then surely that effect from weed can't be ideal

So any strains in particular that don't leave you blank of dreams in the morning? Possibly higher cbd content? Maybe a correlation between stains that treat ADD?

Please don't suggest Blue dream unless you can advocate anecdotal evidence

Just trying to find that perfect strain

peace

Tahoe OG was my go to during insomnia, but another observation is it had the same effect as when I am awake, which is forgetfulness, basically 0 sleep recall.

One visually psychedelic strain I've encountered personally was a pheno of pineapple skunk, If I ripped a good bit before I laid down at night it would give me a brilliant mandala in my mind's eye.
It would have my mind speeding maybe 45 minutes post toke, but then the indica side of the cross would lay into me after the initial sativa high and put me to sleep.

My own experience with the clone only cut of Blue Dream exacerbated insomnia I had last year.
At one point I was a awake 5 days without any exogenous drugs causing this to me, I only had blue dream in my jar, and said okay, here goes nothing, I toked a half gram and I was basically thrown into an intense DMT trip.

My suggestion is the pineapple skunk, bushier phenos, over the main cola phenos.
Best of both worlds hybrid before sleeping.
It's very anti anxiety in the day, and a trip before sleep if smoked heavily, it didn't interfere with dreams in my own experience anyhow.

If you are really interested in better understanding the dream chemical in our minds, DMT and ayahuasca are analog, and you're for all intents and purposes choosing to be thrown into a lucid dream.

As a recovering insomnia patient, I've thrown so many strains at the problem, most indica blanks my dream states, sativas open it up, but make actually getting to sleep, and having it be restful more difficult.
But taking away a dream premise and having restful sleep have not often been mutually exclusive in my life.
Any strain that gives off visuals can enhance capabilities of manipulating your dream environment.

my fairly extensive experience is that cannabis either stops you dreaming or stops you remembering your dreams. i have never come across a strain/variety that is different on that score.

i'm able to dream despite daily consumption, but maybe because amounts are light and tolerance factor. but yeah weed has never enchanted dreaming, except when you take a break and get vivid dreams. something something serotonin? i really don't know. there is a plant called dreamherb, but never tried it.

I only vape GG4 everyday and drink cheap ass beer, but I almost always remember my dreams. I have also said to myself in my dreams, that I am dreaming, and woke myself up for a few seconds, and than went back into same dream.

Also on low dose of Prozac. Most common dream is being in large corporate building and can not find my way out, and if I do, can not find car. I went searching through parking lots in a dream about a month ago.

I read about dream spinning years ago. Turn around in a dream, and it is not what was just there. Can also be used in nightmare to get away from fears.

i have noticed a trend between stains that affect attention also affect memory and have a string of other negative effects such as anxiety, paranoia and low motivation.

I want to get away from these strains and get the more happy ones, ideally that dont suppress REM sleep. This is the only the worst affect weed has for me.

I got some gg#4 but it wipes me out. getting some a11 soon which may do the job

you can google lucid dream techniques

i will try pineapple. wa thinking about this. a strain with an initial indica hit which tapers into a sativa high. ideally when you fall asleep the sativa kicks in
