Any Sap analysis, LED vs HID ?

I can't get plant samples looked at, but if I could, I would feed plants under both lighting types the same, and see how they compared. I guess lower Ca under LED, but would love to see the rest. Then run again with higher Ca.

I'm so interested, I would help crowd fund such a venture. Some time soon, we will see somebody do a side by side, and they might be talked into sampling.

Perhaps somebody knows of someone that does sampling, and changed to LED at some point. So the information is already out there.

I would pop $100 in the hat.

I'm really interested in what elements are effected, and how much their uptake is reduced, or even improved. I'm also interested in these 'idea levels' we are given, from testing that didn't use LED.


Is there any material available, and might you chip in a few quid.

A member here called DeceiverZ did a side by side grow with HPS/MH vs. Cree CBX3950 vs. ChilLeds and posted cannabinoid results without terp tests, but mentioned that he’s gonna do terp tests later with some other flowers.
..maybe you should pm him and ask about those terp tests.

The fluence website has some video's where one charts out the improvements in their grow. IIRC terps were up 17% but other things were up a lot more. These are not the set of numbers I'm looking for though. I'm interested is sap or tissue/leaf analysis of the nutrients within the plant. The rest will follow

It would be nice. But perhaps a single room with a single tank will be easier to find. Someone about to try led over half their room perhaps.

I know BillFarthing does some testing. I'm not sure if he has transitioned from HID to LED though. Giving the before and after figures that might be of interest
