Foldable guitar

Foldable guitar

I saw a foldable guitar on TV the other night. This man and his son designed a hinge that will let you fold the guitar at the body put the strings inside body cavity on acoustics. It fits in a nice custom fit backpack that fits in overhead bins at airport!! When you are ready to play open up tighten a screw that serves as strap peg and will be in tune! Friggin amazing. These millionaires were supposed to try and go into business together with the inventor. Everyone wanted 51% of his company and they said no. I told my wife they would be in the next issue of Musicians Friend. They are already on Musicians Friend website. the secret is that hinge. The dude will make millions. They have one shaped like a Les Paul also. I need a new guitar. The cheapest ones are around $800 which is great if you travel a lot and I don't so I can't rationalize that to my wife. If we lived back in Alaska yes. We camped a lot. Just think you could stuff your guitar with Ramen noodles and use the guitar as a backpack frame! LOL

You should take it to a person who can straighten it out. All necks move a little. I have a 20th Anniversary Les Paul Custom and back in 1980 after owning since it was new it got a 4 fret dead zone. Thats what the truss rod is for. If it reads flat then just get a very good file. You can order a new neck but that will have to be set up a little bit too. Shims and other adjustments. A glued in neck needs a surgeon! Good luck I have a friend that has played a Fender Squire as a live and recording guitar for over 20 years. He did change the tuners and probably the pickups.

Yea I had a friend living near me who could set up Fenders but never got around to it.

Hopefully next time I go into town I can find someone who can fix the neck b/c I don't want to screw with the truss rod or anything.
