hey all...i have a closet setup that ive been runnin about 4 years/10 harvests. i usually grow from seed each cycle, one cycle start to finish then i start over again. i was recently granted 2 clones of a unknown but KILLER strain...so, i want to start a small perpetual grow with the clones. my problem/question is i only have 1 closet to grow in..im running aq 400MH for veg and the400 MH+ a 400HPS for flowering. my area is about 2x5. i also just got a small rubbermaid tub which has become my clone house. it has a lil CF in it. i want/hope to be able to constantly flower a few clones in my clost, while maintaining new clones in the tub. i dont want to have a mother but hope to keep 1 single clone for a lil while in the tub and get clones from it. do u guys think i can keep up with needing 7-8 clones every 4 weeks or so without a seperate veg/mother area just the rubbermaid tub? ive already grown the clones i have for 4 weeks and took 8 cuts from them which have all rooted and just got put in the clost 2 days ago. any help is appreciated.

You can bonsai up a clone in a lil 6 inch square pot....
I just finished keeping 2 moms in 6 inch pots with no root trimming for over 8 months....
I have one that I took care of very well for over a year and a half as a bonsai.. Then this spring i transplanted her to a bigger pot and harvested her this fall making her over 2 years old...
Providing your rubbermaid is big enough you could probably hang 2 or 3 cf's in there, keep your mom & clones in there and you'd be good.
Just top early on your mom and just keep pruning everything that gets to big, taking it as a cutting.

the tub's prolly about 12"x10" and 10" tall...u think 3 cfls wont be too much or too hot for the new clones?? i dont kno so im just askin i have 4x4 square pots layin around so keepin a bonsai mom dont sound too bad. i even wanna just use a mom for like a couple of clone batches and get a new one. im not tryin to have a huge grow just like 8 or so clones able to harvest every 4 weeks or so.

Id just use 1 cfl,clones dont need a lot of light,humidity is whats important.I've never kept a mother but have kept pheno's around for years just taking clones from clones.Sometimes I'll take a couple cuttings from several plants,sometimes I'll massacre a plant or two,either way works fine
I'd get larger plastic tubs to work with to avoid future potential overcrowding.

Is there a thread anyone knows about to all these terms you are speaking of, eg. cf hps ect ect.
Just want a small garden that can bring me about 30 grams per month. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just read, read, read...... Help us out when asking a question. For example...what lighting are you using, ventilation, growing medium, strain, etc, etc... One thing I have learned is that most people on this forum (and alot of the others) are more than willing to help, especially if you make the question easier LOL (we're stoned). I still learn every day.
CF/CFL - compact flourescent - the little sprialy ones that "save electricity"
HPS - High Pressure Sodium
MH - Metal Halide

2 plants every 2 weeks huh??? that'd be real nice but i honestly dont think i can keep up with having new rooted clones on a schedule like that...or have space for that many clones...how much space r u flowering in and how big r ur clones usualy @ harvest?? im hopin to be able to harvest at least 3-4 plants every 4-5 weeks hopefully more like 6-8 plants. i want em to end up about 2-2.5 feet at harvest and no training just lettin em grow how they want.

To have a perpetual garden harvesting every month on a 60 day strain just halve the number of flowering plants and harvest them every month.Another words if your flower room holds 10 plants you'll harvest 5 plants and have 5 mature vegged plants to take its place that same day.This way your flower room stays constantly full and you harvest every 30 days.You really need 2 seperate areas to make this work though
This is my first grow.. what i would like to do, and we will see if this works.. is to take cuttings of my 5 plants.. propigate the clones in a separate room while i flower my 5 plants.. the cuttings will be marked so when i identify any males i can get rid of the clones in question. Once i harvest, i can transfer the cuttings into my veg/flower room. the problem is the strain i am growing is NL which could have a 8 week flowering stage. That would mean i would have to keep my clones separate for probably 10 weeks.
I have no idea how long the cuttings would take to root etc. In my other room, I have two 4 foot fluro lights hanging over a table so I guess that would work for now but wish I could take advantage of my HD lights. Guess I have no choice.. BTW i met someone at a party last night who has offered me some sour diesel clones. It would be great to have someone who shares our hobby to be able to trade with..
