Any one tried ONYX or MI5?

Hello there fellow growers.

Just finished my HBD grow and is looking in to ONYX and MI5 for a future grow. They sound like good strains and I was very happy with my HBD from the same seedbank. Would love to see some pics if possible or just hear a word from a first hand grower of yeild, potency and taste.

Keep it safe //Mr S

Hey mate, I have nothing negative to say about the HBD, ecept that they are a bit nute sensitive at the start..

I will come out with a full grow report and smoke report soon. Never really judge my bud until its cured for at least 3 to 4 weeks. What i can say is that the potency is way up there with good non auto bud. It wont knock you of your feet for hours and park you speechless on the sofa a whole night but it is very good. Strong body stone with some headdy undertones, Berry/diesel smell and sweet flavor. Very sweet tasting on the exhale.

HBD is really good. Haven't tasted it yet though either. I'm in the same boat as seedling. Curing away patiently. Short stuff #1 is raging. Big fat coalas of sugary goodness.

My snowryders' are a week or 2 from chop, they look very frosty i must say. The smell is very berry/fruity. Haven't smoked any yet, but if it smokes like it smells it should be some allright smoke for sure. I'm happy thus far with short stuff auto's. Beeing my first run with short stuff.

Onyx and Mi5 are on my try list as well. Anyone, info?

I'm pretty sure that the breeder is pretty excited about ONYX. It's from ak47 ,white widow, diesel "and many more" so it's got to be something good! Onyx grows more branchy compared to Mi5 which is mostly ak47 I think? I don't think you could go wrong with either one. You would need a journal or Stitch to tell for sure. :D

Meds, Got any pics of that short stuff #1? Big fat colas are right up my alley.

Yes Sir-Shameless. I was trying to get that up as my default avatar. I'll take new pictures on sunday (day 58). It's definitely much faster than autoak47, hbd, auto-bud...actually probably the fastest I've seen. Milky trichomes at day 55.:smokeit:

I highly recommend the short stufff line. I just finished a seed run and had a blast. Out of ten seeds 8 sprouted, two were boys and the other six were pretty little girls. One of the boys was taller and lanky and had a decent top on him. The other was shorter and had a well developed cola. Out of the girls two were taller (30 inches), two were quite short (14 inches or so), the other two were in between and had little branching but really nice tops. One of the girls developed just a few spots of PM at the end, so her line is probably doomed. All were well frosted and finished nicely at about day 65 from seed. I sort of wish I knew what strains were what but in then I have 12 new hybrids to work with and a lifetime of seeds. I wish I had pics but I don't. Onyx, MI5, RRF, HBD, I could have them all or none. I could not be certain. I do know that I loved the grow. The AF's are fast, one month under 24 hours florescents then the 250w HPS at 20-4. No mom, no clones, no separate rooms. Fire it up, take them down, bing bang boom. To all you pioneers in AF breeding, thank you so much. You have opened the doors for great growing.

Chyna, Thanks. I've been a lurker for a bit. I've read all the great threads.Long time grower, first time AF'er.And I am totally smitten. Hardest part was getting the genetics. Had some problems with bean orders. Took quite a bit of nerve to actually buy seeds. But the AF experience was well worth it. I can't wait to run some lines out and see what becomes of it.
And Cyber, sorry, no pics. BTW. I followed, to the degree I could, ICC"S method. Instead of the Fox Farm products I used Espoma Plant Tone. I use it in my landscaping and vegetable gardening. It is loaded with microbes that burst alive in the tea. That and Alaska Fish Emulsion.

I have always loved Espoma products. They were way ahead on the myco additions to their all organic ferts. Plus they are available at Lowes/Home depot. I use pro mix cut by 1/3 with vermiculite. I did not weigh, plus this was a seed run, but I would say close to an oz per plant finished, clean and dry. I did use half strength Ionic for the last two tea times.

Now that Stitch, the creator of the short stuff line, is on board, we should be able to get all our questions asked. Like, is the bush phenotype of Russian Rocket Fuel isolated, and available?
