Old Man Time: That Daytona GTS coupe is noice.......

in the family we have : 1965 Mustang coupe 289 V8 C4 automatic (has 302 heads for the hardseat valves so you don't need lead additive)

1993 Mustang 5.0 w/ T5 manual ( my 347 motor came out when gas prices doubled....up till then I was runnin just over 10s in the 1/4.........daily driver)

2005 Mustang Manual bone stock......till warranty runs out

and plannin a 1965-66 Shelby Kitcar eventually....either a 427 sideoiler same as the Original Competition models OR take my 347 motor apart and drop some 8:1 compression pistons in there and throw a twin turbo at it....

while i do enjoy hanging out with other car enthusiasts, i have found most muscle car guys near where i am are asshole rednecks.

My fun car is a first gen rx7 with a 4port 13b running a huge streetport and all the bolt-ons. :) wont hang with 600hp muscle cars in the straights but drops them after 2-3 turns on the road course
my other fun car in progress is an 82 subaru coupe with a rotary engine/kennedy engineering adapter/subaru awd tranny.

Ive only biult one Muscle Car i my day, in my backyard i took a bone stock 67 Plymouth Valiant and swapped engine and most running gear including front disc brakes off a 71 Dodge Dart. I ended up putting a crazy manifold, with a crazy Holley 4bbl, cam, dual exhaust and for a biult 318 in my lil Valiant i ended up with high 10's very fun car, one of those "wish i still had that" kinda cars but i needed the money , sold her to a friennd and shes still blowin doors! Total Sleeper :)

Ive had a few. Including a 66 nova bigblock pro street car. 66 ford fairlane,64 chevelle. Tinkered with lots of them over the past. Sold them all and made out very well. Not the same interest in wrenching I had when I was younger. Now i just love cars that I dont have to mess with.

I don't ever post here, I am just a reader and grower but I couldn't resist when you guys started talking about muscle cars. I have a 2004 mustang SVT cobra. Oh yes, this is the supercharged one too. It has a 6 speed manuel tranny and was dynoed at 423 rwhp. These cars are called the terminators. It was said from the factory that they had 390 hp but Ford underated the horsepower for insurance purposes. I love this car. I don't drive her very much though. I also have a 2001 mustang gt but the cobra will eat its ass all the way to about 170mph. I've got some pictures somewhere I will post. It may take a minute to find them though.

Got a 1970 El Camino SS here. Interior and exterior are fully restored to stock, with a beastly 454 BB running a big 830cfm Holley carb, Hooker headers, MSD ignition, Crane hydro-roller cam, Manley intake and exhaust valves, ported and polished. It consistently puts out just shy of 500HP and gobs upon gobs of torque, and its my daily driver. Thank god I only have a 4 mile commute, otherwise gas prices would bankrupt me!

1970 Ford Torino GT Convertible.

Pretty stock, but threw on a 4 barrel, headers, exhaust, laser stripe, new top, bumper, etc. Pretty much small restoration work, but turned out to be a really nice car. Bought it for 5k, sold it for 10k when I joined the military.

Ill have something else cookin' when I get out..

I used to like muscle cars. But then the price of gas went up, and I needed something that got more than single digit mpg.

Now I have a car that will run 11's and still get me 25mpg. ;) And it can turn too!

I spy with my little eye a 78' el camino? With a 350 TPI? Sweet. What gears in the rear? Had a 78' Malibu classic that I partially restored. 305 4 door. I loved that car. Gots lots of compliments on it too. It actually had real crome on it. Had to get rid of it but always wanted to put a 383 in it.
