Had he actually tried masterlow or powerstout he would likely eat humble pie.

I got all the Lowryder hybrids and Lowryder itself now. I can't comment on how they are until I try them all. I'll be trying the Blue Streak very soon and I plan on growing Master Low and Lowryder this fall. Then come next summer I'll grow Power Stout and some other hybrids. I like the fact that they are small and stealth, it's good for hiding plants anywhere. I never would of thought I could have a few plants outside in my backyard of an apartment.

mriko : Are that fresh beans you're talking about? Beans do follow often the circle of life. Meaning they have more succes if they wait to germ till after the winter.
If your seeds are fresh and you 'll want to germ them immediate, then you'll have to trick them, p.e. by putting them in the fridge for some days.

I just grew out some lowrider. The yield sucked for the amount of work I put into it, but the taste and high were both enjoyable.

I grew out a few LRs in a windowsill this summer... a grew them out in 3 litre pots with soil and perlite.. feeded them with GH 3 part fertz.. and rippen before 7 days flushing. The average yield was 7 gram per plant.. lots of resin.. but i also life in 600 metres altitude.. that should make a slight diffenrence as far as i know!! The smoke was okay.. fruity smell, tasted alot like sweet hash!! The high is also quite okay.. not to strong.. quite uplifting!!

I will give lowryder 6/10

+: very very easy to grow, more or less no work in it!! Takes around 3-5 minutes to manicure a plant!! Takes only 9 weeks from seed to weed. And smoke that is not to bad at all...

Smoke is not very narcotic, but definey gets you high. I'd say its a good 'day smoke'
Maybe a 6.5 on overall potency & i much rather smoke this than beasters

As far as growing it. IMHO unless you need smoke in 70 days, it not worth growing, unless you are interested in breeding or experimenting.

I prefer low plant numbers, one could easily grow a single plant that would yield as much as 2 cycles of lowryder (140days vs. 2x70days) probably 3x or 4x more.

Plus many people advocating vegging a plant for up to 6 months to get the full potential.

BUT... I would like to see a plant developed that could veg under full 24, but flower under 18.

Possibly boosting yield with the extra hours of light.

You are using Hydro, correct? Set the res temps to the low 50's while having the lights on 24/7. When you are ready to flower it put the res temps back to normal, 63 or so. I bet that they would veg while in the lower temps and flower while in the higher temps regardless of the light schedule. I have yet to prove this out, but this is my theory on the flowering cycle of the ruderalis.

So in essence you can have your

Ive heard of vegging lowryder.

I'm not totally convinced its Vegging as much as in stasis.

I've read that the growth almost stops at that low of a temp, so is that truely vegging or just stasis?

Also, it is AUG and i have no way of keep temps so low.

I can imagine if you were to use the bubble bags to filter through about 3 ounces of good LR you would have 10 grams of some ultra-potent bubble hash. I am willing to bet you could even make potent bubble from schwaggy brickweed, although the hash yield would be minimal as a good majority of the trichomes would already be knocked off.'
i dunno i smoked oil a few times thats been made with shwag or shitty hash and it has been very dissapointing but i guess i cant knock low ryder till i try it but mighty might sounds a damn sight nicer

heyheyhey, seeds have sprouted ! that's nice. Not those I put in the fridge. I just let them outside in aplate with cotton. Rained all week, they get really really soaked in rain water for long time ! Some I had carefully cracked open, some not. Now that they're open the germ grows fast !

I don't think actually that LR seeds get influenced by the season cycle as would be the other strains. In the wild, most probably ruderalis grows on several generations in a single season.

Anyway, here's a pic ! Pretty good at facing rain. the last 8 days or so before harvest have seen lot of rain. No molm, very little resin washed away. Cool plant, really like to grow it !

Otherwise the fridge trick is still a good technique to stimulate the seed to germ. ...

Ive got a couple low lows rollin... 1 male for sure and 1 female.. .germed 5. Put them in the ground and 18hrs later they were above soil. Showed sex around day 14. Whole grow is at 19/5 photoperiod inside my veg cabinet.

I like the lows cuz they let you get a bumper crop from your veg cabinet. Im working on doing a "Rom Ryder" cross... LowRyder Male x Romulan Female...
