Any Ideas on This Problem?

Only the top growth is curling. No burnt tips. Lower - mid leaves are fine.

Temps are the first thing that come to mind... Check the sticky up on top, I am sure you will find a pic that looks a lot like yours... I see some yellow/missing tips too... I'm getting ready to post some pics of my issue, might be yours too, lol...

one of my girls is doing this exact thing. I thought it was from having the light too close but none of the others are having this problem. hope some one can chime in with a little more advise.

Only 2 out of 4 of mine are doing this. I thought it was the light too close as well. Not sure though.

It would help to tell the peanut gallery what, exactly, you have been putting in that pot.
Severe Nitrogen overdose comes to mind... what'chu running for feed thurrr?

Well, they are in 3 gallon pots of coco and I give them 1 teaspoon of FoxFarm grow big daily. I've used this same method on my last run with coco and the plants did just fine. Same Strain. 1 1/2 months old under 20/4 lightning.

just a bit of info on foxfarms they have no expiration date and tend to do weird things when they get old how do you store your nutes and when did you buy them just wondering

yea 2 of 4 probably isnt that. just wondering though i myself and others have had issues with FF nutes doing weird things after being quite old. well then my Q isnt any help wish i could help im a soil guy who is half way in my switch to hydro. so coco is not my deal good luck sorry. ps you might want to replace that grow big anyway though as i believe it has a shelf life of 2 years from MFG and is actually best refrigerated but i dont do that either.

These questions come to mind with the little info you've given:
Did you change your coco brand?
Have you been shaking the FF bottle?
Do you hear rattling in it?
Have you been shaking it before use all along?
Has your water source changed?
Are you running pH down, and if so, what are you using to do it?
Have you completed the runoff test?

Why haven't you filled out the troubleshooting form yet?
There's not enoguh coffee in the world to make me want to play 20 questions this early...

When was the last time you watered it?

How much did you water it?

Is the soil wet/moist/dry?

I don't know for sure about the Nitrogen overdose, but I will say stiff, claw like leaves almost always indicate over watering. I'm not for sure about that either.

I just thought I'd post a pic to see if anyone could tell just by looking at it.

Same coco. Ph and all that is fine. I hear no rattling in FF.. I water half a gallon daily in each 3 gallon pot. Coco stays wet-moist

I haven't noticed any bugs. THe leaves that are curling become dark green and hard.. they break off if you bend them near the curls.

Whodi, I hate to say it but if I were you I would spring for a set of Canna Coco nutes that will make your life SUPER EXTRA EASIER and really, it's a great product. Since that looks like a N overdose from here, I'd start with a nice flush and then give your plants the bloom fert base until you see new growth looking flatter, and perhaps a bit hungry for N again. The plant can store a significant amount of Nitrogen in its leaves so running a bloom fert after a N overdose is perfectly safe for a while!
Good luck!

That makes sense to me stinky.

It's not possible to over-water coco though is it?

You can overwater anything if the interstitial spaces are small enough or your drainage is bad enough. Like the old promix example; as it breaks down it turns mucky and you can end up with a mess if your drain holes clog or are insufficient. Also you see those pots with built in drain trays? Those drain so poorly you could make a vertiable coco swamp in the pot. Uck.

You can tell if you are overwatering though- you should be able to feel a DISTINCT lightness to a pot that you are about to water again. Coco should never be alllowed to dry out completely, but if you are waiting until there is less heft to it, you are just fine.

Just to update...

It was indeed an overdose of nitrogen... I stopped giving them nitrogen and using a bit of bloom ferts only. Seems to be slowly working and preventing the other plants from going bad as well.

Alright Whodi!

Alright Whodi!

I'm glad ta see ya update this. Alot of folks ask for help, and get it, but don't update. So nobody else learns anything from it. So I'm glad ya did. Good luck with the rest of yer grow. Take care... BC
