Any Ideas For Marking Plants?

I wasn't sure how to accurately title this. I'm looking for ideas as to how to mark a plot out to come back and find my plants. I'm in a relatively new area and it's probably a 4000 acre plot. The whole stretch that I want to plant is probably 5 miles.

I'm thinking I'm going to have problems going back to sex and wondered if anyone out there has the solution.

Garmin GPS drops you right on individual plants,simple and cheap

I had originally thought I'd use a GPS but I don't want a record of anything and I'm thinking of hundreds of plants. I just got raided this morning so my focus has shifted.

I don't think there's any way around it. I'm just going to have to use landmarks as best I can and hope I find them all when I come back to sex.
