Any idea what would cause this?

Evening all,

Any idea what would cause this? It looks almost like leaf miner damage.

I'm getting my plants ready outdoors, and don't seem to have this issue on any other plants. Even on this plant, I haven't noticed this on any other leaves. I'd hate to chuck this one since it's a female, but I'd rather not deal with pests.

Just in case it's a pest issue, this plant has been moved away from the others.

its not an infestation whatever bug it may be, if you treat it with neem oil regularly, you should be able to ward off most issues.

the healthier a plant the more resistant to pests and fungus it will be.

Looks like clover mite damage to me.

Looks like thrip damage. Pretty typical outdoors, they live everywhere. They are active this time of the year. More of a pesky pest, than a I am screwed pest.

As long as the plant is healthy and growing fast, it will very easily out grow the thrips. I would just focus on getting the plant as healthy as possible and eventually the thrips will give up and move on.

Can spray something with spinosad in it, if the damage gets really bad. I doubt that is necessary though.

Look around at the native vegetation, weeds, blackberries, etc.. and you will see the same leaf damage.
