Any Chance of PCK x Thai?

After running the purple haze x Meao Thai and being really impressed with the results I'd like to recommend crossing the PCK directly to the Thai. I understand it's already been crossed to the hazes but I believe a thai cross will yield something just as good in a quicker flower time.

Not to hijack your thread, but I'd love to see Thai Stick Sativa x Zamal...

If I remember correctly, Dubi posted in a thread regarding the difficulties associated with crossing landrace Southeast Asian sativas with indicas. Mainly that the offspring produced have a tendency to be very leafy.

Maybe he can elaborate on this a little more as I'm interested also.

Try and find a link to the thread if you can. I remember that the pure vietnamese was leafy in particular.

He says in the thread that the Meao is AKA Golden Tiger - this is incorrect as GT is Malawi x Meao - so he is actually growing the Zamaldelica I referred to.

Thanks though Gerard..

Thanks for the link Pug. Very informative. JKD sorry but where does he say the Meao is Golden Tiger? I don't think "zamaldelica" is whats described in that thread. Perhaps Dubi could chime in here.

My Zamal X Thai female was the best smoke from the whole bunch, real connoiseur weed added a totally new dimension to the musical experience, and gave me the true meaning of "rollercoaster weed"... this has been confirmed by some close friends that the pressure felt on their heads was very similar to the kind of pressure you feel when wearing a heavy helmet and riding really fast...

Hi Gerard.

It seems I've misread the post - he refers to Golden Tiger separately, and not as part of the Zamal x Meao Thai he grew.

I stand corrected - my apologies.

Thanks for the link!

High all,

Zamal Thai F1 hybrid was released 09 as freebies. Amazing pot, we received very positive feedback and our smoking tests were scary, that's why we decided to cross the same zamal mother with golden tiger to produce Zamaldelica.

About the original question of the thread, it's not easy to produce desirable pure thai x landrace indica F1 hybrids, at least under my experience they tend to be leafy and still take a lot to flower for modern standars. Crossing a pure thai with an early flowering sativa/indica poly hybrid gives you the chance to find very good looking phenos, more indoor friendly and hopefully with more of the thai high you are looking for ....
