"Antique" Edison LED Bulbs

Has anyone else seen these yet? The look like old Edison-style light bulbs, but they have LED "filaments" in them.

I'm posting this here because I wonder with the color temperature they normally come in (2200) and some of the shapes/sizes they come in (in particular the tube shapes) it seems they would be a good source of supplemental lighting during flowering, ESPECIALLY for CFL grows, and could be put right in the middle of the plants if the heat is as low as I reckon it would be. The 6w variety makes 450 lumens. Two of those right in the middle of your girls adds 900 lumens to your total and would help the light penetration issues CFL's are known for. I know 900 isn't a whole lot, but in some of the smaller cabs (think the 1 sq ft challenge, or the various PC grows) it couldn't do anything but help.

Has anybody played with these, either in a grow or in "real life"? Do they stay cool to the touch?

They are pretty pricey still, CFL for sockets are cheaper and run just as cool. For LED seems most are doing DIY COBS.

For any of you who are/were interested, I was able to get my hands on some of these in Amsterdam. Literally, like feel them and whatnot. They were lit and had been lit all day... not even warm to the touch. It didn't even feel like the same level of warmth as putting my hands in my pockets. Definitely worth looking into for supplemental intra-canopy lighting.
