Anticipated and/or Desired Crosses and Hybrid Strains

I would love to get my GreenThumbs on some regular seed and craft a good hybrid over several grows of these two strains...

Goji Dawg from Dankonomics Genetics - Sativa Dominant and cross with
SHK - Stephen Hawking Kush from AlphaKronik Genes - Indica Dominant

I'm thinking 2 or maybe even 3 really good phenos could be developed out of these with the time and effort, not to mention meticulous research notes.

Feel free to keep this going with your thoughts on this and other strains and genetics you want to see work done on, or plan to develop yourself if you care to share your secret recipes that is :)

Recessive traits

Recessive traits

Has anyone had any luck isolating recessive traits while making hybrids? Specific coloring, Flavor Profiles, Medical effects etc...

Recessive traits come out most often when inbreeding, not when making hybrids which are by definition outcrosses.

Well i'm obviously a tad green when it comes to the green (growing it anyway) and thank you.

If I were to get 2 strains and wanted to cross them, and I wanted to stabilize them for a solid IBL, assuming I was getting what I wanted as they grew, If I crossed a Female A with Male B and another cross of Female B with Male A, then crossed the f1s together would I be wasting my time?

Imo, you'd be better off working those two lines separately for a few generations before recombining them.

By working them separately you will have two different but similar inbreed lines. Typically you loose some vigor in IBLs. When you cross the lines back together, vigor is restored.

Anyway...
The above qeuestion has been asked a thousand times over the years. Your best bet for getting the information you seek is to first use the search function. Research research research

I like your style

I like your style

I have seen others tell others still, the same, and perhaps it's mostly I do not know the right searches (terms and wording) as of yet, still rather new as I said, and I hate saying that because I'm not an idiot (most of the time, who doesn't have their moments however haha)

I have been researching however, near endlessly, I just can't get enough of the right information, very time consuming sifting thru all of it out there, also getting side tracked on such intriguing threads, so much inspiration and so many of my own ideas, thinking and planning it all is almost as much of a passion as actually doing them

Side Notes

Side Notes

I realize that hybridization question is a breeding plan made without clear goals, a misstep in the 'proper' way to plan out a new strain, in that one should, as I have read, set clear goals and then breed to achieve those while taking meticulous research notes, else I run a higher risk of not getting what I want out of the whole project.

And as such I also do plan to set clear goals, take notes, and monitor the results quite as well as possible, I just as stated earlier, enjoy the planning and hypothesizing a lot as well lol

Terpenes Focus

Terpenes Focus

I would also love to see some Terpene focused research and breeding, I have seen a few that are doing just that, Karma has mentioned it to name one, and I like that it could possibly catch on, shows great promise for the effect customization and medical sides

Condition Specific

Condition Specific

Attempting to craft a breeding program for anxiety specific strains first (no real reason....) and this is what I'm aiming for. Can't hit all the notes but I can definitely aim for the top 2-3 and as many others as my schnoze can detect

I'm thinking of trying

Amnesia Have x OG Kush

G13 x Lemon Skunk

possibly a King's Kush x The Church

and I'd like to play around with

Snowcap x Elffinstone

Killer Grape x The Claw

Sandstorm x Starkiller

and what the heck let's try some Blue Wizard x Grimmdica just for kicks, who doesn't love the colorful bag appeal and sedative Indica properties

but that's more than I have the space for, unless somebody wants to fund my kickstarter
