Anti-siphon valve

I'm currently building my first top feed drip drain to waste for my first Coco grow, I would rather hand water but with my work schedule doesn't look like it's going to be an option. i'm putting together a PVC manifold to water nine plant sites on a 4 x 4 table. I've picked up an anti-siphon valve to stop my reservoir from continuing to flow to my drippers once the pump is shut off. My question is since the anti-siphon valve is designed to keep contamination from getting back into your water supply when using on an exterior faucet, should I turn it the opposite way since my goal is to not have my reservoir drain out on to the floor?

My table will be approximately 14 inches off the ground with 1.7 gallon pots, sothat puts the drip or is it being approximately I don't know 24 inches off the ground will be easy to 20 gallon garbage receptacle as my reservoir the pump will be sitting on the floor in the bottom of the reservoir at a point lower than the pots and I'll be running a garden hose from the pump to the manifold which will start with a particulate filter at the front of the manifold, my plan is to pu the anti-siphon valve at the end of the hose and the beginning of the manifold before the filter, I'm sorry I don't have pictures but if you are familiar with this sort of thing I'm sure you can imagine. Any input would be much appreciated
