anthracnose or calcium deficiency?

hello

This has been a problem for over five yields.
hps 600w.
aquafarm
500 m²/h out and 700m²/h in with carbon filters.
bczz ferts and boosters following fert charts
fans 24/7 directed towards canopy
ph 5.8
ec 1 to 1.6
90 days of flowering Jack Herrer sensi seeds using clones .
temp 22 celcius day 15 c by night
humidity between 40 and 60
using hard water ec 0.4 out the tap.
I also add a little calcium and magnisium (calgreen metrop 1ml/10l) all stages.
Flush every week with h²o² and hygrozyme ph 5.8 ec 0.8
Change tank every 2 weeks.

Thanks for your comments.

Peace

Nope ,no spider mites .
been there ,done that ....

It' s the other side of the leaf.
That's what the orange spots look like on the other side.
Would calcium def look like this?

Can you post some pics without the hps light on?

Yes, calcium does do this..... can you explain a little more information in detail?

Looks like you have a lockout more than anything else, you should not be having calcium issues. How often do you check your pH?
Your problem is your following your charts from bcuzz; your over feeding them.... what ppms is your plants nutrients set at? NEver listen to those directions; they lead to burning so much; now if you were using a different brand like AN,canna or GH would be different. I would flush out your system and replace with lower amount of nutrients.

Does anyone know what EC 1.6 is converted to ppms......

I know it's on the high side...
Since it's something that has been going on 5 grows now.. it's something your doing to the plant..... and I say nutrient levels are locking out calcium which means your EC/PPMS are too high.

Also forgot to ask what are your water temps?

Thanks for your answer .

I'll take the pics today.Sorry but i suck at taking pictures.

I check the ph every 2 days with hanna ph tester properly calibated.

I top of every day with 10 l of water plus ghe bio bloom.ph 5.8. 350 ppm.

I am actually a little under the bcuzz ec charts,i running them 1.3 to 1.6 which is not that much.

http://www.4hydroponics.com/convertPPM.htm

1.3 ec is 910 ppm
1.6 ec is 1120 ppm

As for the water temps i did not bother to check but i will today.

I guess they are pretty low cause my room temp is .

Yesterday: max 21.5°c lowest 13°c at night ,which is pretty low.

It is cold over here and there is not much i can do concidering the high humidity in my growspace.I have to keep the vent on which brings cold air in.
If i dont every thing will get moldy. There is already a little electric heater going on at night but its best is not enough.

I guess the water temp is 3°c under room temp.

PEACE

i think hanna uses the 0.5 conversion...so 1.3 EC would be 650 and 1.6 EC would be 800...you are using the 0.7 conversion ..

here's a chart Stitch ...

Thank you very much for that chart core; I was looking for that and I could not find it anywhere much much appreciated!!!

It could be a calcium issue; but if your tap water is hard you should not have any issues BUT, hard water will make it hard for your plants to absorb it's nutrients; maybe you would be best to invest in a RO system......

Ya, 200 PPM's tap water is very hard; when the plants remove nutrients from the water, are you adding more nutrients and checking the ppms?
Does your pH rise in a day or 2 or go low?

So your grow may be being messed up by the hard water..... see it a lot.

Can you take a pic of the plant without the HPS light on?
take a few pics of the affected leaves without the hps light on too so I can see the leaves better.....

It might be hard water damage... I have seen this before; let me go re-read the article I read.....

are you letting your water sit out before using it? If not then your plants may have some chlorine issues; with the high levels of chlorine.... hard water tends to have more choline I read; I have no clue why but I heard it does.

Edit: ok, found out what it is!!; it is indeed hard water damage; not calcium issues; it mimic's calcium issues......

http://hcs.osu.edu/hcs/webgarden/Land/LAND_May95.html

Typically, hard water will leave white (calcium or magnesium) or orange (iron) spots on leaves.

So you are going to have to get a different water source...
How often do you change out your res? WHat do you use for pH down?

My water is very hard and actually smells like chlorine and i do not let it sit .

When i change my tank the ph tends to go up for 2 or 3 days. I have to put ph down for this duration but then it stops.
Ph ranges from 5.7 to 6.2 during these first 3 days.

I will take pics today.

Thanks

I was using ghe ph down during entier grow but i changed for growth technology
phosphoric ph down a week ago.

I change my res every 2 weeks.
And i somtimes use source water (ec 0 ph 5.8) but i havn't been using it lately it's an houre drive away plus i have to carry 100 liters.
I do not do this often enough to see the impact.

For one thing you should always let it sit out; another thing that is very important; how often do you clean out your system?
There is no doubt about it; you do have hard water damage this causes plants to stunt.....

So if you want to fix your problem your going to either have to stop growing hydro or get a reverse osmosis system put in.

What do you use for adjusting your pH?

A few pics taken at night
Sorry got two left hands.

I could not mesure the water temp having no thermometer. But the room was that cold:

I guess water temp was 2 or 3 degres under.

I clean my aquafarms every 2 weeks when changing the solution. And i use 82% phosphoric acid from Growth Technology.

Thanks for your interest.

Ya, either chlorine damage or hard water; so it all revolves around your hard water......
The temps have got to come up; thats way to cold for them; either get a space heater around there or keep something that can keep heat in a certain area that won't be a fire hazard.
