I'm new here but im sure you get alot of these threads, im looking for some help or some inspiration for a tattoo, marijuana is a big part of my life and i absolutely love it to death, so ill be dedicating both forearms to it in the form of ink. the problem is... i want other people to look at it and go "oh hey random forearm tattoo's nothing suspicious", but when i look at it, i want to see my life and dedication to the plant.

how do i go about doing this? *tokes* hrmpf..

1. Find a good tattoo artist that can do sleeves. Whole sleeves. Find someone that does the style you want well. B&W, shading, color, oriental what have you.
2. work with them on the design. This can take months if the person is busy. (they will need a deposit to work on it.)
3. Save up about $2,000 bucks or more and go at it or get it done in like $500 patches. You're looking at 10's of hours work.


Take your time and do it right, you only get one chance.

My .02. Don’t get any drug, or drinking tattoos.. You might change your mind later in life but you can’t change your skin. Yes, you can get them removed but the cost is like 10 to 1. Just be smart and not get anything you might regret.

Man I saw some insane ones by Guy Aitchison that had Cannabis leaves in the background scenario, but they were in a book, up front looked like something else, then on close inspection you could see the beautiful leaves etc....

Great idea BTW, I have a Cannabis leaf in the background of a similar tattoo to Guy's style on my inner arm...

i dont want anythnig drug related in a sense that somone looks at it they will know that i have and do, i want something that i can look at and be proud of it. that doesnt display any drug related... staying low key is a very big deal to me i dont like to be affiliated with anything drug related in any way. so although as much as id love to outline my whole body with pot leaves and the such i cant .

My tattoo artist has all sorts of crap on his arms legs you name it..he said if he ever gets fed up with them...he will paint he's sleeves black. That can be cool right ?

when I get around to it I'm getting a close up of a MJ flower on my ribs...done very large so there can be lots of detail (I know the famous tattoo artist "Slade" personally) and he's gonna do it when ever I'm ready.

I know thats not what your looking for, but It's along the lines (a lot of people woulden't recognize an MJ flower...like they would if it was just the leaf)

...something like "flamengo" said would work good...have something that stands out alot in the foreground, but in the background you could have very subtle, almost "ghost like" images that woulden't be recognized w/ out some study. (guys that do murals esp...lowrider stuff is a place to look for ideas if you like that thought)

...something drawn by "pushead" would be nice too
