Hi dubi , i Know you are working hard on hybrid for us , but years ago i fell in love with Angola * thaï.
I ve got 500 f2

but i dont grow indoor anymore. I Will try to make f3 outdoor, but i m at 49 north and i m not sûre it Will work.

Bangi haze is a favorit for me and it work Perfect at 49 north.

This Two strain are the kings in clear high so the cross can be a dream Com true for me.

That s just an idear.:tiphat:

Take care GS

Hi grandsrin,
you got lots of F2s up your sleeve :)
49 is way too up for them, I ran an F2 of AxT at 45N and she stalled flowering when the frost hit in start of december. So sadly a no-go variety for us.
I had pretty good results with other Congolese genetics outdoor, pretty hardy plant and a very clean effect; almost finished at end november(frost).
So probably Bangi Haze is the best you can have for your latitude and if you want a clean effect.
Wish you best of luck in your experiments and finding a good genetic combo for the outdoors.

Cheers

Hi thanks posting.
I think if i start seeds late and rootsbound in pot i can Harvest seeds not too late.
I live near the sea And sometimes the first frost comme very late (january or late décember), so i can breed for early ones.
The Angola phéno with "square" and"wide"leaves is faster Thank thaï ones.
I Will see this fall.

Queen mother is good in Congo strain but can mold realy bad,and lilly is a mold magnet.

Hi , limeygreen i made f2 and you hâve to make a sélection to find what you want , but Angola * thaï is usualy edgy.
If you let it over ri, it can be less edgy.

Hi grandsrin,

Nice to see you back! :) Glad to hear you want to keep working with the Angola/Thai line. Angola/Thai and Zamal/Thai were limited editions that we gave as freebies almost 10 years ago, seems many sativa lovers were impressed with them (especially regarding effects) and there's still interest about them despite we only distributed small quantities of these 2 hybrids and they have not been available for years.

The Angola/Thai (along with Zamal/Thai) are without any doubt among the most electric, exciting, stimulant pure sativa hybrids i have ever tried, probably too much for many people, the high is so intense, uplifting and nervous, thought provoking, ... these kind of effects are very rare to find nowadays, that's why i think many sativa lovers enjoyed them.

Angola/Thai used to finish in early November here at 37º latitude, so they probably will finish in late November/early December at your latitude around 49ºN, guess too late for them. I would consider to reproduce them indoors or at least finish the second half of their flowering indoors when your outdoor conditions are not adequate for these kind of tropical sativas.

I'm glad Bangi Haze worked perfectly at your latitude in previous seasons.

Take in mind that the Angola Bangi mother we keep in our mother room (it was a parental plant coming from mano negra) is very Bangi Congo dominant, with almost no angolese influence. Angola Bangi has quite desirable traits for a sativa, like quite compact and manageable structure and fast/moderate flowering time (around 10 weeks), strong crazy mental effect, classic african sativa aromas and taste: earthy/woody/floral.

But Bangi Haze strain and Angola/Bangi mother are quite different lines nowadays although they can share some congolese ancestors many generations ago. Bangi Haze has been worked many generations and has an overall different personality than Angola/Bangi. I would say Bangi Haze has a more electric effect and better terpene profile than Angola/Bangi, Bangi Haze is also more mold and cold resistant so it's more suitable for your outdoor climate and for your project. Maybe it's a good idea to cross good parental plants of Angola/Thai and Bangi Haze, try to find plants of your taste of both lines that work as best as possible in your climate and experiment a bit by crossing them.

Hope it helps :tiphat:
