Many went shopping before leaving for the cup, from as far away as Hawaii to the big state of Texas, to Italy....from all over they came to join us in Amsterdam, and yes....bearing weighted down suitcases FULL of goodies!
John Budd.....Hawaiian Grown.....xxbluevelvetxx....Bog.....Baccas....Fredster....Trichomefarmer......payaso and many others (sorry if I leave anyone out, it is nothing personal or intentional...but things got a bit hazy in the daze of the haze!)
Over here things are not as readily available for good 'back home' munchies, but just take a look at some of the things brought over! What a TREAT! Some may think they are just normal foods, easy to get by jumping in the car and making a trip to the local grocery, well, not over here. When you go months and months and months without the likes of some good starch filled Kraft Mac & Cheese, well, it tastes even better!
Several let me put together a shopping list, while others just showed up with things from the good 'ole USA that they knew wasn't available in Europe.
If you've ever had the pleasure of ordering pancakes in Amsterdam....LOL...and watching them arrive on a plate like thin sheets of paper...well, nothing beats American style pancakes, of course covered with just the right amount of syrup....Baccas made sure my mornings get started the RIGHT way by toting a HUGE box of pancake mix and syrups!
And just TRY to find Girl Scout cookies over here....ain't happening! But John Budd fixed that!
Here's the first pic of some of my goodies (more pics will follow) Thank you all from the bottom of my heart...my stomach and I thank you tremendously!
.........goodie pics to be continued as soon as I finish off the last of the Hostess Twinkies and 1 lonely remaining Hostess Chocolate cupcake compliments of payaso
