And The Crowd Goes.... Wild!

Alrighty folks, MountainBudz back again with a little problem starting the switch..

In case you haven't read, I have two 4x4x8 tents set up, one is pushing a 1000 watter and the other a 600 watter. Tonight the construction has been finished and the plants were split between the two tents for a total of 11 plants in each tent, all residing in 3 gallon fabric pots.

The problem is they have grown like f#ckin crazy in the last few days for some reason and it isn't due to the beginning of the 12/12 stretch because I haven't started the 12/12 cycle yet. I was planning on starting this morning. Most of them are sativa and sativa doms.

Should I go ahead and leave them like they are and just see where things go before making a decision or should I bite the bullet and kill a few ((this would be my last option, all of them look amazing!)). I have dealt with over crowding before but I honestly don't think to this extent. I can just see the mess during flower by looking at the current situation.

I can see the zamaldelica going fuckin insane and vining out every where and the herijuana getting smothered beneath the massacre lol. But I can also see some hope in the situation as well and the possibility of control. They have been vegging for a month and a half but had many problems in the beginning so they had a slow life until this past week they have all started cycling anabolic steroids it seems.

I could see maybe using some bamboo sticks on a few to keep their branching closer together and more intact and keep some from spreading. I don't know man. All I know is i'm flipping tonight and need some urgent help!!! Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, the have all been topped, supper cropped and LST'd as well... which makes them even bushier!

Another thing i'm keeping in mind is I have 2 C99s which are suppose to finish in about 52 days or so. Also a couple more faster plants, which maybe I will harvest and leave room for the rest of the 80 plus day strains to finish doing there thing.

I also understand that before these quicker flowering strains are done its going to be crowded regardless, but its just a thought that has some benefit?

So here is what i'm talking about and working with atm.

Something else that is eating at me is deciding which plants go in which tent! I don't know why but its driving me insane... I have been criss crossing them back and forth for over two hours trying to figure out which ones I wan't to go where lol. I guess with the big of a variety and mix of strains, it does get pretty damn confusing!

Maybe the quicker more vigorous finishers in the 1000 watt tent?

The smaller and longer flowering ones in the 600 watt tent?

And as the quicker finishers finish, I can rotate the longer flowering plants over to the 1kw? Does this make sense? To maybe increase yield that way? I am after max yield...

I have got roots poking out all over the sides of the pots on the bad girls from top to bottom of pots! Excited about this grow man...

I was wondering about crowding on your other thread...the only obvious solution is buying another tent and light. As to what to put where, they might stretch more reaching for the 600 so put the shorter ones in there? In the end, I think you will have a sea of bud in both tents with not much undergrowth. You will be happy.

Hey man, good answer you gave there. Unfortunately I don't have the funds nor the room for another tent, though i'd LOVE to! Maybe if I just train like hell I will be able to work through it, train as in, working with the crowding./

I found a photo of a previous grow i'd done that I thought would be over crowding as well, but it ended up being fine in the end. Cannot find pics for the life of me during flower, but this was right before the flip. However, they were much shorter, bout the same amount of veg time though, they are shorter because they were vegged under T5's 24/0 where these current plants were vegged under a HPS 20/4 hours. They stretched and blew up everywhere, that is for sure though!

I ended up with about 21 zips with that grow. The current plants seem to be just a bit larger though than those...

Depending upon how cruel your willing to be, you can have a hack at them and be selective about which branches you let turn into tops. And supercrop the heck out of them, everyday without fail, turn kink and pinch every stem to retard growth.
Put your fast flowering short plants in under the 6 and your sattys under the 1k. Once the shortys finish throw a couple sats under your 600. Best of luck for some delicious buds.

By the looks of it, you'll be fine. I would just selectively prune the plants, so that they each have their own little bubble to grow in. Maybe get some fencing to put along the walls? Then train the growth of the plants that start to get out of control to the walls? That's what I would do.

I agree go for the flip now and after stretch, prune and shape plant trellis or bamboo lots of ventilation and I would keep plants with shorter stretch together. Just flip em bro u can always cull more after stretch if too crazy in the tent..B

A few of the plants will need to be watered tonight, I just put them on 12/12 this morning. They were hit last watering which was 4 or 5 days ago with Sensi Grow a&b. This time around should I just give them plain water? Hit them with light dose of Sensi Bloom? Or maybe even flush them out with 3 or 4 gallons of water to rid of excess nitrogen and salt buildup??? I'm really wanting to minimize stretch as much as possible and have long baseball bats of buds.*

I can't decide what to do.

I feed veg nutes till stretch is over....yeehaw

I usually feed veg nutes for a while during flower on my outdoor girls because the stretch in the great outdoors, I can use to my advantage. But indoor, i'm trying to keep them to a minimal stretch especially with some of the strains i'm running. ECSDH, SSSDH, Kali Mist, Zamaldelica and Golden Tiger in general are known for a psychotic stretch issue lol.

I noticed during feeding last night that Sensi Bloom has quiet a bit of N in it anyways so i'll just go with it.

There gonna stretch no matter what you try. In coco feed everytime water in the end and hit them with the sensi bloom start at 2ml and see how they do second week bump up if needed. That's what I fed my GT s
