what do you guys think about piranha and tarantula?
should i buy the voodoo juice also?
what are the diference, concerning microbe spectrum, between tarantula and voodoo juice?
thanks!
feel free to add any other products that you feel are as good/better as those two!
I am using turantula along with a product called earth nectar / earth ambrosia in my hydroponics system.
The turantula is beneficial bacteria and the EA/EN is beneficial fungus
I don't know much about the specifics of the products, but I am happy with them. My roots look incredible, and this is my first hydro grow.
I would imagine that they would work excelently in a soil grow, with the turantula there is quite a bit of sediment that settles in my reservior, but that wouldn't be an issue with soil. I imagine that soil is also a better medium for the bacteria / fungus to thrive in.
The only downside I see is the price, the EA/EN wasn't bad, like $20 for 2 pints of liquid, the Turantula however was like $40 for a 130 gram jar of powder. It is worth it though in my oppinion if it makes my grow better, it only takes 3.5 grams of extra yield to pay for itself....
thanks SmokeAndBeKind !
i would love to use the EA/EN, as i heard from a friend at CW that it was great, but here where i live i think i can´t find it, well i would have to spend some extra euros and buy the piranha!
just an advice, if you can, buy companion from american hydroponics, ii've heard from the same friend that it is fantastic! by the way there are also another product called diehard biorush that can replace the tarantula, it's more cheaper and better, as i heard!
well this are products that i can´t get soo i think i will be using the piranha and tarantula!
I think I read somewhere that the Advanced Nutrients beneficials have more colony forming units per gram? So basically you get more for the money supposedly...
I think that using the Pirhana and Turantula together you can't go wrong, Like I said before I don't know the specifics of what is in either, I am sure there are more additives you can use but you have to wonder how many of the ingredients start to overlap
I must say I am pretty impressed with Advanced Nutrients, even though turantula is their only product I use, they are supposedly formulated specifically for growing cannabis, I think I will try out more of their products in the future.
Do you have any info on what sort of product Companion is?
I am also using the Piranha (funghi) and Tarantula (bacteria). I have seen a noticeable differnce in root growth versus not using them. I use them in ProMix, if you are familiar with that potting mix. AN can be expensive tho, if you arent careful where you buy it. EBAY is best, do a search and then check the peoples "stores" on there. The best thing to do if you are getting AN is to order everything at once, that wayyou dont get killed on the shipping, which costs as much as the product sometimes. I havent used the voodoo juice. They have so many products that it is easy to buy too many if you know what I mean. As far as AN goes I have had great success with the following line.
Iguana juice Grow and Bloom
Big Bud - this stuff is essential
Carbo Load
Tarantula
Piranha
Talking to Mike at AN, they also recommend the Sensizym to compliment the T and P. He says it helps provide enzymes which compliment the funghi and bacteria. It also allows you to reuse your soil with greater success if you are into that. I acutally ordered it, but they sent me an extra bottles of Iguana juice Bloom and Grow instead. So I ended up making out in the end even tho I didnt get what I ordered. I dont see how it can help much more tho. Here are some results using what I listed above.
thanks m.steelers for sure you have convinced me to go ahead and use the piranha and tarantula!
do you use them as explained in the label? or do you use less?
Just like it says on the label. I do the root zone application, which equates to 1/2 tsp of each per gallon. They have it on there in grams if that's your preferred system of weights and measures
Do this all through veg and weeks 1 and 2 of flowering.
Then pick up at weeks 2 - 6 or 7 (depending on how long your plants flowering cycle is) of flowering with the Big Bud supplement. That shit is the madness. Add this to your organic base. I use the Iguana Juice line. Go a little light at first to make sure it isn't too strong. I've been able to use the full rec doses off everything they make with no issue though.
Use the Carbo load through flowering too. If you get all of your order at once they usually throw in a bunch of free stuff, so all in all it isnt as expensive as most people think.
PS - I was told by AN that you cant overdose the plants on Piranha or Tarantula - they dont raise the fert PPM. I goofed once and gave them 3 times too much and nothing bad happened.
thanks brothers!!!
i made up my mind and i will be using piranha, tarantula and sensizym along with my loved guano/worm castings/seaweed/molasses/fulvic teas!
ive been using piranha and tarantula aswell to help the root growth in seedlings , important to get them going as fast as you can and get a good root structure going , seems to have helped heaps , especially with the ones directly in the soil ...
ive also been using some of the product called heavy harvest outdoor in the feild and had some great results ...
in the indoor hydroponic room ive used the usual a and b grow and bloom nutes , and during the bloom cycle added carbo load during the whole cycle , bud blood for the the initial beginning to flower , followed by big bud and finishing with overdrive , happy with what im seeing so far , plenty of resin forming , and some nice chunky buddage
