This is my first real grow. Over the summer I was walking around Canadian Tire and saw theRoot Farm Hydro Garden and decided I was gonna grow some weed.
I bought the thing and then bought a little LED grow light at Costco. They sat in my closet forgotten about until a week ago when I decided it was time to finally kick this shit into gear. I picked up a pack of Jack Herer seeds and a 2'x2'x5'3" grow tent. There were no 6' tents locally and I'd already started germinating the seed(See title) so I needed something to contain the light ASAP and settled.
At the same time, I bought a fan. A comically large fan. A 4" inline was on sale for $10 more than the one I needed, how could I not? The fan being huge also means that it's loud when operating at 100% power. Which it does. Always. Fuck. I bought a fan speed controller off of amazon and it arrives Wednesday.
As for nutrients, I have the generic ROOT FARM TM nutrients that were pretty cheap and right beside the hydro system, so any rec's would be greatly appreciated.
All that to say that on Wednesday I planted the seed in the hydro medium and have been thinking about nothing else since.
Here's my terrible set up where I will butcher this grow and make enemies of you all as I simultaneously ask for and ignore your advice. Namaste.
