I wish I could write like Dank...I wish I could just compile a good smoke report. Great reports Dan..enjoyed them emensly..makes my mind wander just reading them. DD
This strain was breed by a community member that many are becoming familiar with due to his continual support of ICm through his amazing donations to the Server Fund and freebies.
I have been fortunate enough to experience first hand a couple of Retardo Motabon's creations, and have never once failed to be impressed. I've said on record once before and I'll never hesitate to say it again...I'd pay $150 a pack for his seeds...no questions asked, they are TOP NOTCH.
That being said, "BKGK" is simply an amazing cross. I was fortunate enough to sample several different phenos from this cross and was surprised to find that each one could be considered "keeper" material in MOST gardens. Two of the phenos were fairly balanced and were complex, flavorful, powerful smoke. They produced an all around high that was almost confusing. I suppose by confusing I mean, I lost the desire to do anything, yet I felt active and talkative. My body was relaxed and comfortable and the face flush and warm....yet I was not "zoned" out...so definitely a complex hybrid "high" produced by the more balanced phenos. The taste being slightly spicy and hash, with a sharp funk, followed by a deep dark undertone of perhaps grape or something darker and fuller...more like a merlot. Very complex tasting smoke.
While these two phenos were great...I truly felt the stand out quality and truly dank plants, were the phenos that tended to express one parent in cross more than the other. The heart of this report, will focus on two particular phenos that remain labeled simply as "#1" and "#3"...
#3
BKGK #3 is one BEAUTIFUL plant to look at. The individual bracts of the buds all show a purple base that gives way to a green snow covered peak. These particular buds carried a very soft
grape smell...almost like grape bubbalicious, not so much candy / sweet, but rather the fruity / gum aspect of it. This aroma is intoxicating and really gets you excited to taste these buds. In my honest opinion, #3 produced the buds with the highest bag appeal, and if I remember correctly, was also the lowest yielding pheno. While there are the heavy purple ascents in these nugs, the inner green part of the buds is very chartreuse and lime green...they almost appear slightly "faded"...as if they have sat out in sunlight for too long...kinda of green that is color leeched. Once again, very appealing to the eyes.
Based on the structure and appearance, it is obvious this is a pheno that leans fairly heavily towards the Grape Krush side of the cross. Knowing this and having already sampled its sisters, I was fully expecting this to be a bit more heady and sativa in its effects...and I was not disappointed. Upon taking the first hit, it is only comparable to breathing air through cotton candy. Very sweet, very soft and light...but yet somehow coats your throat in flavor and taste...but still as if nothing was ever in your mouth. The light grape taste is more apparent as you inhale and upon the first exhale I actually forgot to think about the flavors, because I was more focused on the sudden stobe light some one had turned on in my brain. This effects from this are felt instantly and it comes on strong and clear. Zero confusion to this high...it is all to the head. Another few puffs follow (joint) and the center of my head is a little itchy and tingly but there is a new rigidity to my posture. My back is straight, my shoulders pulled back, my mind clear...and I'm ready to attack the day and get something accomplished. I don't want to do mundane tasks...I want to do something that challenges my mental abilities...forces me to think and expand my world view. While there is a slight social aspect to this bud, the only person you are going to really converse with is yourself...because you will have five things going on at once...but you will be getting LOADS accomplished in every single one of them. The motivational take on the world aspect last for a good 1.5 hours and then you kind of need to take a minute to slow down and catch your breath. Reality begins to sink back in and you realize that while having felt rather clear headed, you were definitely in a fog. Only leaving you to wonder how in the world you got so much done!!! The last 15 minutes or so, the effects begin to fade completely a bit slower than the onset, but once completely gone, there is zero "hang-over" or lingering side effects. So I suppose the best way to say it is the effects do have a noticeable "comedown" but once that passes...it is back to "normal"...The high is clean and pure, with the entire experience lasting for a solid 2 hours with 30 minutes of the described "comedown".
I will say there was a bit of tolerance build up on this pheno. Very minimal, but what started as .3g turned into .6-.7g over the course of 2 weeks of regular use. I could just as easily say the effects of .3g is reduced to about 1.25 hours at most, with the "comedown" aspect being reduced as well becoming much less noticeable....
This was #3 (she did have a few thricomes that had purple stalks):
#1
This particular pheno was with out question, IMHO, the one that stood out more than any other. She was in every way as much an expression of Bubba Kush with as twist as #3 is an expression of Grape Krush with a twist....so a very Bubba dominant pheno. The structure of these buds is something that REALLY got to me. All were dense, hard and compact...small "golf ball" type of buds. These buds also had the amazing twinge of purple along the outside edge of the buds, with the interior having that same electric green contrast...however, the resin profile on these buds was quite different. The glands on this plant appear to literally be silver and give the buds an almost nostalgic / fake appearance but even more unique is that when breaking these buds apart, the individual resin glands feel very much like grit or sand between your fingers. They are not initially sticky, but as you begin to rub them around a bit, you can feel them begin to give way and start to bind together. "#1" also has the same light grape aroma as all of her sisters, but it comes out a bit darker and more full / spicy...perhaps a bit more "purple"... However, it also adds something to the mix that all other phenos lacked...an amazing sharp, zippy, twang (green apple/lemon/lime/skunk/must)....that can only be described as what people call the Cali "kush" smell. These flavors are equally balanced when smoking...the light grape on the inhale and then the extreme, funky, delicious, hard to pin down glory that coats your mouth on the exhale that I will simply attribute to "kush".
The effects of this pheno are without question MEDICAL. If you have been smoking a sativa all night, this one will hit you in the forehead, warm the cheeks, and then numb out the soul. She is devilishly potent, as she appears to be...and also, as expected based on appearance, was much more indica in her effects. I really would not give her the attribute of being unique in the sense of her "high", but she does have a degree of potency that is often not found in such a flavorful package. I honestly have to admit something. While being a fairly generous and sharing person when it comes to my own personal supply, these particular buds made me greedy. I found myself sharing other things and avoiding smoking this until I was all alone and could enjoy the complexity of aroma and flavor...it really did make me stingy. The fact I found myself unwilling to let go of this bud, even when I got low, I started smoking other things to avoid being out of THIS. For me, that is indication enough : pure headstash. Now the downside to this particular pheno, is she did leave me a bit foggy and sluggish after the effects began to subside. While this is typical of indica dominant plants, there are SOME that manage to not leave the user feeling "hung over"....so, I really don't recommend this as a day brightener...lol. Keep this by the night stand and as you are wrapping up the day, sneak in an get a bit of flavor to let the world slip away....
All in all....I have 11 seeds I have yet to sprout...I refuse to do so until I know I can keep an male and attempt to preserve this particular cross. BKGK is 110% dank. Medical grade potency. Connoisseur flavors.
Dank reporting Frank! Love the in depth descriptions of the buds attributes,, very well done. Ive had my eye on the bkxgk. Your report may have just convinced me sprout some of mine.
OMG! DF I love your choice of words and the way you report!
Thanks for putting out such great reads & valuable info. Much appreciated.
Those frosty nugs had me drooling!
d.f!! you made truly fantastic herb sound epic! i hope others feel the same way you and i and a few close friends have felt. RM holds it down with his eye for selection and this offerings are top notch in my book. k+++++
Man your reports take me on a little daydream every time!
Sounds like those seeds made some nice herb, glad I could help.
The purple calyxes seem to be placed like bubba's pink to purps come in at the bases but totally purrpled out from the cross, very pretty! It loooks like herb Phillthy grows! Thank you for the kind words DF. I hope more herb comes across your keyboard soon so we can read more of these reports.

PBT is a cross that was made by Chrome. For those of you unfamiliar, Chrome has documented much of his hunt for a bubblegum, and PBT is somehow a part of that story...and the seeds were only around for a very limited release.
First thing that must be said about this particular herb is that she is absolute CANDY. The first smells that you get from her are simply sweet. Not any specific type of sweet...but sweet none-the-less. As I began to stir the buds around a light citrus aroma of fresh grapefruit slowly began to escape the jar. The resin heads on the buds seem to break off and stick to your fingers while breaking them up...however, it does not take much force to rub your fingers clean either. While the buds are being broke up, a few more scents escape from her. The smell of grapefruit being dominant, but a distinct musky / fuel undertones creep into the nostrils, making the smell of this herb fairly complex and interesting. I found myself smelling this herb quite often because you really only get certain smells from it as you work the material...
When you first enhale this cannabis, the taste it gives off is very tart on the tongue...that sweet grapefruit smell, seems to translate to a tart grapefruit taste. The smoke is complex and full and as it travels down the throat it is a bit thick and expansive...you can taste that typical musty / dank finish of quality herbs. In the lungs though, the smoke doesn't expand much more and seems to lighten up a bit and by the time you exhale, it is almost as if there is nothing there. The hits exit very light with very little to almost no taste, just a very faint sweetness to it.
This effects are not immediate, but can be felt after 2-3 minutes pass. While you would expect it to be a bit more pronounced in the body because of the slight delay, it comes on strong and goes right for the head. The "high" is very cerebral and I began to feel my face warm up. My mind and body seem to expand slightly...feeling somehow more in touch with my surroundings. The sensation that I was very light headed was distant in the background, but not to the point I ever felt dizzy or even disconnected...just very light and floaty. The high seemed to travel down my brain stem and settle across the upper part of my shoulders after about an 1.5 hours, with the entire experience lasting around 2 hours, and then fades to a bit of a sleepy and heavy body after use feeling.
During this entire time I found myself pressed with this strange urgency / important need to get "something" done. However, I found it impossible to focus on a single task and instead found myself being much more successful at multi-tasking or doing multiple things at once. I found mundane tasks such as every day organizing of random things....desk drawers, closets, filing cabinets...all these things seem to be enjoyable now...hahaha. There is a heightened sense of creativity that seems to encourage these tasks...but it is NOT the artistic type of creativity. (make sense?) If you can actually MANAGE to force yourself to focus on one particular task, and it is possible, I found my focus and interest to be highly increased. One other interesting aspect I enjoyed about PBT, is when I was drawn into thought, the angle or direction I approached things from was with a much deeper, more insightful perspective, so perhaps this would be good cannabis for meditation???
One more thing, and I have said this on the forums before in other posts...AND THIS IS IMPORTANT! For the sake of understanding, you must know, when doing these reports, I use several well trusted and experienced "heads" for comparative feedback. Well, I discovered that women in particular seem to absolutely LOVE Pink Bubble Tooth. I was never able to really pin point WHY. It seemed in part the flavor and in part the introspective heady high it produced. Whatever the reason, it was the favorite Phlava' by a large margin, for ALL women. Not just some...but ALL that tried multiple things, said PBT...I want that one. Make of it what you will...
